Re: AirAsia: a personal message from Tony
I have always had nothing but exceptional service from Air Asia. On my last return trip to Cambodia from Thailand the stewardess gave me an extra lunch because she thought I was handsome. she said that in front of my ex and her sister. That was the first time I ever saw my ex get jealous. For the next month she would tell me to go !@#$% the stewardess because she thinks you are handsome.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 6:30 pm I've never really associated great customer service with AirAsia, but okay. At least it's an honest letter expressing the hardships faced by the industry.

The moral of the story: Airasia has good service and it pays to be handsome.
Re: AirAsia: a personal message from Tony
hope air Asia can rebound from this, I get they have their issues, but I'm happy to deal with those issues for the price they offer.

I've flown AirAsia over a hundred times since coming to Cambodia because they used to be the cheapest option - by far. But to call their service 'nothing but exceptional' is a bit overstretched. Their service is what you pay for, basic and reliable, until something goes wrong. Then you're fucked.
Since Cambodia has so many more airlines to choose from I noticed I've been using Air Asia less and less in 2019 and in 2020 I haven't used them at all.

Agreed, I got one too. Im not worried about my $30 refund. Gimme a credit, thats fine.

Not a bad letter at all. Actually honest (to a point) and fair. Although it seemed to me AA fares to PNH and SGN were creeping up a few years back when I flew them regularly.
Yet I will still pay a premium to fly out of Swampy than go all the way -- used to live in Pattaya -- to Wuhan Fluport where AA resides now and also avoid the marauding pre-CV19 Chinese.

Where are you living at the moment penhman?
Re: AirAsia: a personal message from Tony
In Bangkok, sadly, where I moved last August. I'm out of Thailand when the borders open and considering Phnom Penh, SR or maybe back to Vietnam.
You still in northern Oz?
Re: AirAsia: a personal message from Tony
That's actually bull, because they ARE refundable if the airline cancels the flight as was the case for myself and many others.Marty wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 5:44 am
Same with me about 3 weeks. Air Asia immediately sent the email out about my 100 USD flights or whatever it was. I havent checked yet but it aint gonna break me. These cheapo tix are non refundable, no? So Air Asia or any of the other cheapo companies are really not obligated to do anything.
