The family knew him, we didn't, so when we say "Remember Lee Rigby" who exactly do we think we're trying to remember? The answer is of course that none of the people sharing these memes actually give a hoot about remembering Lee Rigby himself, otherwise they'd be listening to his family. What they're remembering is that one time where they had a convenient excuse to spout a load of racist bile, and now they keep him stashed away to play like a Top Trumps card whenever someone comes for the racists.
