You can't take on the entire world and win

Post by explorer »

China's actions have resulted in a lot of enemies. Most countries did not take action because China was too powerful, and sometimes because of trade with China. Now that America is standing up to china, many other countries are finding more courage to also stand up to China. Many countries are looking for alternate places to buy products, or to have them manufactured. In time, China will take a big hit economically.

Hello OP,
Can you please elaborate on the specific actions that has created all the enemies? Who are those enemies? Have you forgotten to review your post?

I think Explorer makes a valid point. It started with the coronavirus and their lying and attempting to cover it up for long enough until it got out into the world and poisoned it. They then threaten Australia for asking for an international investigation over the matter. Then they pass the security law on Hong Kong and now the UK government is being threatened. Philippines and Vietnam with the South China Sea. India on their northern border (India won't put up with their crap). The list is growing all the time.

Trump, for all his failings, is right about China being a bunch of lying thieving crooks and the world is now looking to do a lot less ass kissing and a lot more protecting their own long term interests. It will be a long, painful and dangerous transition, but a necessary one.

China categorises countries into two groups: Enemy states to be vanquished and client states to be exploited. There is no in between. I don't think they have any friends at all and no partner states. Certain people in Phnom Penh may think that Xi Jinping is their friend, but they are very wrong.
The Chinese believe in their national and racial superiority, and everyone else is an inferior breed in the human species.

The first failing of world governments is that they are at pains to make clear that their problem is with the CCP, not the Chinese people. They are terrified of accusations of racism. The Chinese people are just as much the problem as the CCP.

Governments should start recalling their citizens from China, and quickly. The Chinese have already shown their willingness to arrest and detain some Canadians on espionage charges in revenge for Canada arresting the Huawei financial director, Meng Wanzhou, and her pending extradition to the US. They are just a gangster state and it's time for foreigners to get out while they can, physically and financially.

The first thing I would do (in the UK) is force Amazon to display prominently, on the front page of every product, the country flag of origin and then have a search function which excludes Chinese products. People should wake up to the extent of their lack of choices about where they are sending their money.

Watching the news
One reporter said China needs the rest of the world and the rest of the world needs China and if they all can't reach an agreement conflict is assured. TRUE.
I say; And it may well be in the Sth China sea or should I say! The Vietnamese Sea, the Philippine Sea. the Malaysian Sea. Taiwan Sea,Indonesian Sea, A little piece is The China Sea and International waters. If China won't budge and dig their heels in and will not recognise international law over each countries rights to their own territorial waters America and their Allies will ensure they do by Military conflict if necessary. Hope Not.

Somewhere about 60 + % of China''s iron ore is imported from Australia. If there was a major conflict between China and USA , would Australia still export this product, plus coal , to China , to make steel for building warships etc to attack USA ?

Or would Australia cut it's major source of income and say we support the USA .

Australia needs to get it's ass into gear and start building steel-mills now and export steel to who it wants to.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

exactly
i read recently there are couple of new environmentally-friendly methods of making steel
they could obsolete china's mills and gain a green marketing advantage

but even using the dirty method, oz has both ore and coal
makes no sense not to process as much as possible

Talking about who needs who more.

In 2017, China produced 81% of the world's rare-earth supply, mostly in Inner Mongolia,[5][28] although it had only 36.7% of reserves. Australia was the second and only other major producer with 15% of world production.[29] All of the world's heavy rare earths (such as dysprosium) come from Chinese rare-earth sources such as the polymetallic Bayan Obo deposit.

REE is increasing in demand due to the fact that they are essential for new and innovative technology that is being created. These new products that need REEs to be produced are high technology equipment such as smart phones, digital cameras, computer parts, semiconductors, etc. In addition, these elements are more prevalent in the following industries: renewable energy technology, military equipment, glass making, and metallurgy.

A number of Utah residents have been surprised with a peculiar package in their mailboxes—a parcel filled with seeds and Chinese writing on the outside.
