Re: Will Elon Musk Takeover Twitter One Way or Another?
It is quite interesting to see such dynamic postings about "free speech" on a social media platform that begins with "Cambodia". Many on CEO actually have some affiliation and/or residence in Cambodia but I think there are also many on here that just need someone to talk to. Associating Cambodia with free speech is going down a rabbit hole with no chance of believability. Try criticizing HE and you will find out about free speech in Cambodia. Cambodia's internet gateway is on its way if not already here. ALL internet communications in Cambodia will be routed through the government-run gateway, allowing authorities to monitor online activity, intercept and censor digital communications, and collect users' personal data. Will CEO be safe for posting for Cambodia resident expats? Elon Musk will not be able to help you here.

What a stupid, woke *****!
Obviously, she's not straight, white, or male.
Who cares if you're straight or bent?
Who cares if you're white, black, yellow or purple?
Who cares if you're male or female?
These WOKE morons need to stop labeling people to suit their own narrative.
The truth is that Elon Musk is the anti-christ. Now he has his own platform to issue directives to we humans. Wait and see!

To be fair, this thread is in the 'Rest of the world' forum section, and Twitter is an international social media, not confined to any one particular country.cambo swa wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 5:01 am It is quite interesting to see such dynamic postings about "free speech" on a social media platform that begins with "Cambodia". Cambodians and expats are free to use Twitter, Tik Tok, or any other social media. But, just don't ask where to buy/sell Bitcoin.

Still, rather typical for The View.Username Taken wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 6:29 am

Re: Will Elon Musk Takeover Twitter One Way or Another?
many seem to be worried if he does buy it and allow FREE SPEACH, 'the haters and conspiracists' ( will he allow trump back?) will take over an drive the rest away
personally i see nothing wrong with allowing anyone to say what they want anywhere, IF the stand by it by posting their real name an not hiding behind a handle
One will think twice about saying something attacking someone/something if there might be real life backlash
(unless they are Donald who thinks everything he says is 100% right)
as to trolling, i am confused exactly what that means anymore here

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

No, citizen Trump said he will never join Twitter again (and we know he's a man of his word), and he has set up his own platform, - "Truth Social".phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:14 am many seem to be worried if he does buy it and allow FREE SPEACH, 'the haters and conspiracists' ( will he allow trump back?) will take over an drive the rest away
https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/ ... r-platformTruth Social, Donald Trump’s new social media network, was supposed to be “a major new platform” where Republicans and Democrats alike could converse in an environment free from the “censorship” of big tech, an environment with an “ironclad commitment to protecting vigorous debate”.
Instead, nearly a month after its launch, Truth Social has become a laughingstock, marked by a botched rollout, a share price collapse and, in Trump, a figurehead who doesn’t actually post much to his own social media platform.
The network, born out of Trump being banned from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube due to the risk of the former president inciting violence, was due to launch on 21 February, five months after Trump announced its creation in a typically hyperbolic statement.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” Trump said.
“I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech.”
When the launch date came round, however, tens of thousands of people were unable to access Truth Social. The Guardian attempted to sign up on 21 February and was finally granted access on 5 March.
And almost a month after the launch, Trump has so far shared only one thought to the platform; a boilerplate message in mid-February urging people to “Get ready!”.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
