Perhaps the only certainty now is that the people who led us into this mess will blame the mess on the people who warned that they were leading us into this mess. TOG you can always use your " Get out of Jail card ". You voted remain right ?. We took back control. The speaker is exercising that control and following the RULE book. Does anyone have a problem with Parliament taking back control ???. It's a 400 year rule. Made to do what it says on the tin. If people don't like it they can always go and live somewhere else, maybe France !!.

I know we lost by the biggest margin ever and then we lost again by the 4th biggest margin ever but we demand another go even though we won't let you have another go.

Poor Yorkie, I really feel for you.

You are like Captain Rum in Blackadder.

Opinion is divided on the subject.

Edmund: Oh, really? [starting to get the picture]

Rum: Yahs. All the other captains say it is; I say it isn't.

Democracy....Dead as the Dodo. Long live the Speaker and all of the other anti democracy activists.

Did you hear the news today about jobs and wages....despite your Project Fear and the end of the world, they have reached record highs in the UK. Just think how well the UK would be doing if everyone accepted the referendum vote and proved to the EU just how great Great Britain is. I will even quote you from your favourite comic even though they try to put a spin on it.

Don't worry Yorkie, we will not leave and you will be able to gloat and think of yourself as a great saviour of the UK even if it is undemocratic.

What do you have against democracy?

WHAT DO I HAVE AGAINST DEMOCRACY ?.
1. The vicars daughter bribing The D U P with a £1 billion kick back to keep her in power
2 Offering Labour MP's cash for their communities in favour of backing her Brexit shitshow.
3. Lies on the Battlebus. £350 million to fund the N H S instead of the E U.
4 55 Tufton Street Westminster London
5. The E R G
6. Arron Banks
7. The Tories accepted £146,750 of donations in November/December 2017 from Lubov Chernukhin, the wife of one of Putin's former ministers, eight months AFTER the Skripal poisonings. She donated another £1000,000 to the party in March 2018.
8. The Tories also received £150,000 from Ann Said in October. She's the wife of Syrian-born former arms dealer Wafic Said , a family friend of Bashar Assad, who has been banned from donating because of his tax resident in Morocco.
That will do for now.
Tog, If UK wages have become to high for business, then please explain why the government is claiming record high employment figures of 32.7 million ???
I typed all this with one finger...... what a clever pleb I am.

When will you guys realise that May wants to remain in the EU and she is just making it impossible to get out?

And Yorkie, I realise that you are a dyed in the wool Labour supporter and that nothing the Tories do will ever make you happy.

Perhaps you should start a thread on "Why I hate the Tories". I am sure there are a few other Socialists who would agree with you and keep you happy.

Great day today, all of my shares moving even higher in the positive area and the pound is doing well against the Euro and the Dollar.

Stop bleating and make the best of the deal that the country has. The UK will never return to the 60s/70s where it was run by the unions (into the ground) and lunch at Chequers was a pie and a pint.

As the song goes..."Be happy, don't worry".

Hypocrite comes to mind or just plain biased perhaps?

They were on offer in Panda on Street 130 yesterday, but they've gone back up to $2.75 now and I'm not fuckin paying that for Crisps.I don't care how nice they are. If you wait, they usually come back on offer at around $1.75. :smileinbox: :smileinbox:

Whilst striping down a ceiling fan whose capacitor had blown up, I was listening to a politics program on the radio.

The interviewer asked a lady if she was concerned about all of the issues happening over Brexit. Her answer was so to the point.

She said that as an ordinary member of the public, regardless of which way she voted or how she felt about the goings on, there was nothing she could do that would in anyway affect the eventual outcome and therefore was not going to loose any sleep over it. She had no regards at all for Westminster and felt that Theresa May had been handed a poisoned chalice by Cameron. When asked how she would vote at the next election, she said she did not know as the list of candidates had not been published but one person she would not vote for was the incumbent MP who was a staunch remainer even though over 60% of his constituency had voted to leave.

MPs should listen to the voters and not think of themselves. There will be a day of reckoning for them.

no i actually missed that comment by him. i dont hang on his every word..

he does come across as a massively arrogant self serving twat though.

in this instance whether he did this for his own amusement, or for what ever reason. i think its a step in the right direction towards a no deal.

if they cant agree on something and get the eu's backing, then its a no deal on the 29th

that will do for me.
