We only produce 60% of our own food for blindingly obvious reasons, also you should read past the first line of the page you Googled.

People have become used to out of season fruit and veg grown under Spain's poly tunnels. We import subsidised food from the EU cheaper than we can grow it ourselves (CAP) and there are various EU quotas on how much and what we can produce.

In the 1980s we produced over 80% of our own food so if we start to make do with seasonal fruit and veg, self sustainability is not an issue.

Well you will have an army of idle hands for market gardening and a greatly reduced population when all the eastern Europeans go home.

When i lived in uk food rationing was still a memory for older folks and allotments were still a thing.

Cuba managed to vastly increase thei food production when the russians left and i have no doubt uk will too.

It will be quite disruptive for some time. But so was entry into tje common market back in the day.

Farmers from all member countries still complain of eu stifling their production.

I do love most brits for their humour, except those that seem to have grown up in the gutter and celebrate their hooligan inspired culture in foreign countries around the globe. I do feel a lot of sympathy for those living on the island, particulary if they live in northern island which will be most affected by BREXIT. If you look how the Bank of England treats Venezuela of which it holds substantial physical amount of gold it makes you wonder how secure such a post Brexit Britain will be. The Bank of England refuses to send the Gold it holds back to Venezuela and therefore admits that it's not an independent, trustworthy institution. Why should wealthy foreigners trust such a country in the future ?

British people have been lied to and many still believe that even an unconditional no-deal Brexit would be good for them Well, they haven't read the news lately. The list of Companies leaving Britain is getting longer every day.

Just thought I would add my own thought of what will happen.

There will be no Brexit. MPs will renege on democracy and vote for a second referendum. After a violent Project Fear campaign, members of the public will narrowly vote to remain. (a narrower margin than the vote to leave).
