Unrest is sweeping across the US

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

...it seems.
It's almost as if a government designed around incredible greed and a lack of humanity doesn't work. Crazy...
Do you think the parents of baby boomers whined so much when the boomers started changing society? And yet the whiney ones like to call young people "snowflakes." Hmm...

What happened in Europe, I'm not sure if it was England or? , last week or so ago? The cops had to run for their lives.

You truly believe that all people in every other single country can strole all around, everywhere, 100% with 0 fear in certain areas?
Huh? Not even getting into the opinion aspect of this, with which I would disagree with you, a higher percentage of Americans are imprisoned than any other country. We actually have very little in the way of freedoms that many/most other top tier countries don't have. And what is this about the US being the only place that everyone can walk around with zero fear? I don't know whether or not there's a single country where that's true, but it sure as hell isn't true of the US.

Unfortunately so many of us have been trying to leave for the last 10-20 years, as things have been going further down the shitter, that countries won't take us as easily as they used to.

Poster child of why things are so messed up.

Mass protesting doesn’t spread the virus.
Rioting and looting doesn’t spread the virus.

But apparently, singing in church is a sole contributor, just like cows farting causing global warming.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.co ... index.html

So the powers of the state is banning singing now.

But chanting during BLM is safe.

When Reagan was the head of the Film Actor’s Screen Guild, he stipulated that all movies, TV, etc., had to be pro-American, pro-traditional values. America was perceived as strong again.
And your pprescription, Nuke, for a nation rushing out to buy guns because of "the breakdown of society" ( your words, your analysis)
- more John Wayne posters.

The prescription should be a concerted effort to bring back the stabilizing pillars of society - the extended family, church, police, neighborhoods, etc.
Instead, the media is cheering the demise with the entire world convinced of their cause.

How many members disparage religion on this very board?

How many movies show cops are bad? And glamorize criminals? How many TV programs show single parent families as noble? Or glamorize dysfunctional families?

Using firearms for self-defense is a last ditch effort, when society fails.

It’s sad that it has to happen, and people calling others cutesy names doesn’t help. It’s poor form.

Yes, i might bow out of this topic now too.
I am boxing myself into a US bashing corner and i don't really want to do that.
My views of america are much more complex than can be easily laid out here. Some of them would surprise you.
I certainly do not hate USA - as i imagine some members quite understandably assume i do.
Peace.

I appogise if the lop-sided nature of what i have said has offended anybody.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
