Two dead in Taiwan river plane crash

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

At least two people have died after a Taiwanese TransAsia Airways plane clipped a bridge and crashed into a river near the capital, Taipei.

More than 50 people were onboard the domestic flight, and a number of people were reportedly injured.

Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA) broadcast footage of the plane almost submerged in the Keelung river.

Rescue teams are alongside the plane amid reports there are people still trapped inside.

The ATR-72 had just taken off from Taipei Songshan Airport and was headed to the outlying Kinmen islands, just off the coast of south-east China, CNA said.

Looks like something you'd see on Snopes - "Nah, it's CGI from a movie..." Great photos, terrible story.

Think this airline fly from Siem Reap. Their number of crashes for a pretty small airline is alarmingly high. I would get on air asia anyday but seems to be recurring failings here.
I hope the taxi driver stopped the meter.

Amazing pictures, I'd have needed a few stiff drinks if I'd been in that taxi. When my Air Asia flight landed in Bangkok on Monday a fair round of applause broke out, I thought that was a bit harsh. :D

What is happening with the world nowadays? Is God punishing us Lol? There were so many violation happened, i e, civil war, religion war, terorisms. Isis keeps killing hostages (how many hostages more are going to be killed?). Countless iron birds crashes, many people killed. It made me so scared to take the flight. :(
