Well it's not, it says the US dropped 2,400 tons of bombs on Cambodia which is way off.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: U.S takes on Iran
The general of the kuds was taken out because he was a terrorist with a UN sanctioned no travel ban.
He had been the leader of the iranian terrorist by proxy unit for 20+ years and had killed thousands of muslims from a number of countries.
He had provided the explosive devices that killed hundreds and maimed hundreds more US soldiers .
To act like this guy was just some putz Trump killed to avert attention to an impeachment hoax is like claiming the moon is made of blue cheese.
He was in Iran to plan more terrorist attacks.
Iran has been provoking Trump for months..to no avail because of the sanctions he placed on these killers. They shot down a large drone. Trump pulled back after his Generals advised a strike on where the missile came from.
The USA doesn't need the strait of Hormuz to be open.
You brits and chinese and EU and other folks need the oil. The US exports energy now. They captured your ships..put mines on your ships..
He told them simply. Don't kill any Americans or you will pay.
This general and iran were behind attacks that killed a contractor and wounded US soldiers.
Not playing obama fucking games dudes.
obama can sleep and hillary can drink vodka and not send help to save our Ambassador in Bengazi.
But, Trump doesn't sleep...he doesn't play games.
No bullshit lines in the sand...no bullshit reset buttons.
Our soldiers know NOW that he has their backs.
iran talks about death to Israel and The USA every single fucking day.
And you want to blame Trump?
You compare Russia killing a defector in London to Trump killing a terrorist general?
That is beyond absurd.
WW3?
Are you on the pipe?

Re: U.S takes on Iran
Bush and Obama BOTH had a chance to kill him yet BOTH decided he was less a threat alive than dead.
So what changed an made Trump assassinate him?

Are you on the pipe? As in crack pipe? As in if one disagrees with you they must be high? So much more elequantly put than suggesting they are f@cking retarded. A new level of civil discourse of course until someone stoops to answer, "No and neither is it an orange dick".BR549 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 1:12 pm The general of the kuds was taken out because he was a terrorist with a UN sanctioned no travel ban.

You are 50+, not likely to put your life in harms way for the man who deferred 5 times from putting his life in harms way. Odd how those who have nothing to gamble are shouting raise the stakes. And your jab at McCain the other day, who refused to leave a POW prison until all his men where out and whose father and children served their country was petty, just like the big orange guy's.
Re: U.S takes on Iran
The pertinent question on my mind is does this action create any danger for Americans in the KoW?
We know that Iran is goint to respond to this action, and we know that this response is not going to take the form of a direct military confrontation. They couldn't possibly win, and in the 40+ years this has been going on they've repeatedly reiterated and shown through actions that they aren't stupid enough to go head to head with the US.
Instead, whatever response they mount is going to take place through some kind of proxy action or covert activity. One strong possibility is that they will make use of their network of support systems throughout the world to create trouble somewhere deemed a soft target. It just so happens that Iran has a very good proxy infrastructure throughout SE Asia, in particular in North Korea and through that relationship in Cambodia as well. Furthermore, given that the Chinese now basically control Cambodia, and the US doesn't have much direct leverage at present in the Kingdom, it seems to me there is a case to be made that Cambodia is a realistic candidate for a retaliatory campaign against Americans and American interests. Is there a softer target somewhere with closer ties to Iran, a more accomodating government and many Americans?
How likely is it that this conflict in the Middle East could spill over quickly into Cambodia because of the strong Iranian ties here, and do Americans need to be worried?

Jesus H Christ, how about learning about the points of the compass before pushing this ridiculous conspiracy theory?

Re: U.S takes on Iran
No, you're playing George W Bush games, the continuation of his illegal invasion of Iraq based on fabricated information about "weapons of mass destruction". It's pathetic how some people still try to perpetuate those lies. One million+ local people dead, countless millions displaced and tens of thousands of US and NATO troops dead or permanently damaged and you are still trying to flog this crock of shit? It's unbelievable how deluded some people are. Unless you have shares in Boeing, Northrop Grumman etc I don't see how you can support this totally unnecessary destruction. If the US and its allies really cared about terrorism they would have hit the Saudis and Wahabbis long ago, instead they are in cahoots with them.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: U.S takes on Iran
Points of the compass? Explain how that has any bearing on the question at hand? I am very familiar with finding north and geography if that is what you are concerned about. Do you also know the points of a compass?John Bingham wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 11:24 pmJesus H Christ, how about learning about the points of the compass before pushing this ridiculous conspiracy theory?
I am not sure what "conspiracy theory" you are talking about here. I am simply pointing out the undeniable fact that Iran has good political ties to Cambodia through allies that also have good relations with Cambodia. In fact Iran has a strong presence in many countries throughout SE Asia, but Cambodia is one which is most dominated by China and that might give the US the least leverage in the event of an attack.
I didn't suggest any conspiracy. I did not suggest there was any plan to do anything in fact, other than the fact that Iran will retaliate, and it will be something assymetrical when they do it. I made a hypothesis that Cambodia could be considered a fairly good soft target for reprisals by Iran. If you have something factual to add to the discussion as to why you feel there is no reason to be concerned I am happy to hear your viewpoint. That is why I asked the question after all.
If you simply feel the need to make disparaging remarks about other posters however, then you may wish to open a separate thread for that purpose under the Asshat category.
