NKOTB & his Khmer Missus adventures in Texas

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Yes, there are plenty of companies that install modern kitchens. What does he think the thousands of baray houses use?

Lights make a big difference.

And so do fans.

Granite countertops have been installed. Plus tiling and lights too. Missus’ land is almost complete.

Garage doors make it seem much more like a garage than just a room with big holes to the outside. Now just needs openers to complete the look.

Why do they building western houses so darned tall?

307 cm from floor to ceiling. With closet shelving almost reaching the ceiling. Are my kids going to be 280 cm tall or something? Impossible to reach without a ladder, not even the step stool is enough. And that’s every closet!

I've never seen a three car garage with one door being a single, pretty neat looking

@NKOTB, The house is coming along quite nicely, you must be ready to move in soon. Question; will you have a traditional spirit house out front? The front door area/room would lend itself to a neat little spirit home should you and wifey desire. Do you have an HOA that oversees such matters'?

On a slightly different note, that house seems to have a fair few rooms. Are Wifey and NK going to christen them all? Will they try to do it in one day or one week? The kitchen seems to have some sturdy work surfaces…

They sure put that up in a hurry. With the quality of construction labor in Texas, I wonder what the quality of the construction is like?

You might want to get the contractor to take a look at that, 3 shelves are fine, but a lot closer together and the top one at eye height - your eyes, not the 7ft galoot who fitted those shelves.
