Surely he will alienate his current fan base with stuff like "400 years of slavery was a choice", "White Lives Matter" and "George Floyd died from fentanyl"?
If he wants to appeal to his new planned conservative fan base he should release a country & western album.

Unmedicated bipolar Kanye has form going back six years or more
It will blow over soon enough

It's just that this is what is deemed as breaking news in 2022, obviously there's nothing more serious happening in the world that warrants thousands of hours of media attention

Maybe Kanye can become the new leader of the Alt-Right!Random Dude wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 12:43 pmHe'll probably be ok.Big Daikon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 5:57 amYes, he is bipolar. Part of the problem is the media machine elevated this mentally unstable man into a position of wealth and influence, exacerbating his massive ego. And then people are shocked when he does and says controversial things. (Scratches head)Random Dude wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 2:22 am Hasn't he been having mental health issues through all of that?
I don't know much at all about him but it seems to me that if he just stuck to making music and shoes which he seems to be good at, and stayed away from unpopular, divisive political issues he'd continue to do well.
Much of this story is absurdly and darkly humorous.
Kanye: "Jews run the media."
-Twitter account cancelled.
Kanye: "Jews run the banks."
-Bank account cancelled.
Wonder how this will play out in the long run.
Celebrities say stupid shit all the time, the media makes a big deal of it, people get outraged, the celebrity in question gets a lot of attention and their PR people no doubt love it .. all publicity is good publicity and all that. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if half the crap that generates outrage is planned.
For every group that says 'you can't say that about Jews', there will be another group that says 'hell yeah, we hate Jews too, this dude is our kind of people, let's get behind him (and get access to his huge fanbase)'.
And Kanye sells more CDs and shoes.
Other celebrities have gone through the "antisemitic" wringer and their careers recovered eventually. Thinking of Gibson, Oldman and Ice Cube. All of them bent the knee and grovelled, of course.

Seems weird that those two statements are considered so controversial.John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 12:56 pm "White Lives Matter" and "George Floyd died from fentanyl"?
1. I'm white. I think my life matters.
2. Check the first autopsy.
Plus, disagreeing with a verdict is not a crime. (OJ killed his wife.)

1. Kanye says lots of dumb shit.
2. It was only around 250 years.
3. Much of his fan base won't care.
4. See #1.

Maybe they groveled, maybe they just put out a statement saying something like 'I regret any offense I may have caused blah blah' ... I have no idea but I suspect they just did that, most people said 'who cares' and moved on, and a month later nobody even remembered it.Big Daikon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 2:52 pmMaybe Kanye can become the new leader of the Alt-Right!Random Dude wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 12:43 pmHe'll probably be ok.Big Daikon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 5:57 amYes, he is bipolar. Outside of celebrity news sites and online drama queens, who make their living through creating clickbait, I really don't think it matters that much to most people. The average bloke likes a song or movie because it's (in their opinion) a good song or movie - you can drink a beer and tap your toe to the music or escape reality through the movie. How many people REALLY stop liking a song or their favourite movie because they find out they wouldn't like the performer in real life? If they did Michael Jackson's music wouldn't still be making money and Tom Cruise wouldn't have acted in a movie for years.
