"Jones published a number of articles on political and social commentary, principally in newspapers The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and The Observer. Many of these articles criticised the War on Terror, belittling it as "declaring war on an abstract noun" and comparing it to attempting to "annihilate mockery"

It’s strange how such a celebrity, who otherwise may simply be a complete stranger, can leave such a strange feeling of loss.
Maybe it’s because I grew up surrounded by such comedy?

RIP....
I saw LIFE OF BRIAN at a theater in Kansas, USA in 79...might of been 80...it was at a budget $1.00us theater...
I ate a bag of dried mushrooms and went in to see it.
cried laughing...became a piece of chewed gum on the seat.
I thought one scene was just a hallucination.
It was many years later when I was able to watch against and see it was indeed still in the movie.
A real gift to grow up with the entire cast.
