I just saw a video of the ear guy getting beaten up after he was caught in the forest, but presumably before they went Res dogs on him, from the comments it seems they tried to make him eat his ear but he spat it out. Apparently that video was on Reddit too but has since been taken own, not that I'd be clicking on it.

I'd say if they're 'lucky' they'll be killed, eventually. They're in for a brutal time until then though. Watching the video you feel sorry for the guy - squealing like a pig while you get punched, kicked in the head and bashed in the ribs with a rifle butt didn't look fun but as the people in the comments pointed out - he was seen cutting someone's throat and shooting people while they cowered in corners, so ...karma, I suppose.
