You don,t need to show your boarding pass to get a drink in the bar in heathrow? showing your boarding pass for duty free is a tax scam, if you refuse they cannot so no, try it.

you have to buying anything in WHSmith so thought it might have been the same, been a couple of years since i drank at the airport in England,
still, my point about how they can check how many beers youve bought still remains

Exactly what i did in smiths, i heard about the showing of the boarding pass was a tax scam so refused when i got a paper, the were confused, then smiled and served me. I don,t use duty free in the uk but if ever i do i will try it
