Very sad news for Beatles fans. Music producer George Martin dead at age 90. What a powerful musical legacy he leaves behind.

I always thought that Stuart Sutcliffe was considered the fifth Beatle.
A little digging and it gets even more interesting. So who was the fifth Beatle:

Interesting read if anyone's interested https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_BeatleMcCartney stated in a 1997 BBC interview: "If anyone was the fifth Beatle, it was [Beatles' manager] Brian Epstein."[2] In 2016, McCartney also wrote that "If anyone earned the title of the fifth Beatle it was George [Martin]"
Harrison stated at the Beatles' 1988 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that there were only two "fifth Beatles": Derek Taylor and Neil Aspinall
