Out of curiosity if you don't mind, for you as a retired US expat living in Southeast Asia, what did Trump do while in office that was beneficial for you?pissontheroof wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 12:15 pm I would have to disagree , trump is the best

Ronald probably was the best actor of all. He was at least as dement as Biden when he entered his second term, but had loads of humor to mask it.Spigzy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 5:37 pm Here's a pat on the back list for himself:

He could also navigate stairs, talk without a teleprompter and not shit his pants whilst in public. He was insufferable though - the only joy for a non-US citizen was the daily "Covfefe" meltdowns, etc. But honestly his embarrassments as a Boris-esque buffoon pale into insignificance versus Biden who has been the worst President in my living memory; even worse than Dubbya & Trump. Ronald being the best.

I wonder how they ranked F.D. Roosevelt. He dealt with really serious stuff in his days.

i 100% agreeAlex wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 11:16 am I wouldn't rank Biden very highly, in my opinion he hasn't shown any major initiative or done anything breathtaking. That being said, I would obviously rank him higher than those before him who had done something breathtakingly bad or stupid.
The worst presidents are easy to pick though. Trump at the top, he's a divisive demagogue with ethics worse than a used car salesman, completely unfit for any kind of public office. Followed by Nixon, even more of a criminal but at least an ounce of patriotism, albeit often misguided.

I'm not looking to start a pissing match or anything, but I am curious as to why you think he's been the worst president you can remember.Spigzy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 5:37 pm Here's a pat on the back list for himself:

I don't think I've ever liked a single politician.

Hah, there be slim pickings that side of the pond ... in fact Slim Pickens' "Taggart" from Blazing Saddles would still top my recent history list if ever he had been President!John Bingham wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 5:59 pmNot sure where you are getting that from, Trump is the former president who wears diapers and has often been reported by his aides as smelling like crap. He also wears lifts to make himself seem taller which causes him to lean forward and there are lots of photos of him being helped down stairs. Then again you think Ronald Reagan who clearly exhibited Alzheimer's during his second term was the best...
