Racism against blacks is cool, antisemitism is not
Israeli minister's wife makes racist joke about Obama.
Yaweh on a stickelschmein, you think they'd know by now.
From yahoo.com
Jerusalem (AFP) - The flamboyant wife of Israeli Interior Minister Silvan Shalom published an "inappropriate joke" Sunday about US President Barack Obama on her Twitter account, only to later delete it and apologise.

"Do u know what Obama Coffee is? Black and weak," Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes wrote to her 74,400 followers.
Online shock, condemnation and accusations of racism later led her to delete the incriminating tweet.
"I apologize, that was a stupid joke somebody told me," she wrote on her @JudyMozes Twitter account in English.
"President Obama I shouldnt have written the inappropriate joke I heard," she also wrote, addressing the US leader directly. "I like people no matter about their race and religion."
"Sorry if I caused any offence to anyone. I hope I will stay married when my husband will land and hear what I did," she added.
Her husband, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, is also the minister charged with strategic ties with the United States.
The outspoken Nir-Mozes is a scion of the Mozes family that owns the top-selling Yediot Aharonot daily. She hosts a weekly radio programme as well as participating in a number of television shows.
She publishes blunt tweets and Facebook posts about a wide range of social and political issues, including criticising members of Israel's political left for what she perceives as their lack of patriotism.
Netanyahu is also a regular target for her criticism.

Award winning British biographer Diana Souhami once said: “It’s a rather romantic idea that suffering makes people noble. That after they’ve suffered, they then become infinitely better human beings. I rather suspect that it doesn’t necessarily happen that way.” From my limited experience, she’s correct.vladimir wrote:Israeli minister's wife makes racist joke about Obama.

She was speaking about Alexander Selkirk and his failures in life after acclimating into polite society. After enduring such hardships as Selkirk endured, I find myself expecting an individual to metamorphosize into a Jedi Knight or Zen master too. I think we expect this not only from individuals but societies and groups that have endured suffering (Jews, African-americans, Armenians, gypsies) only to find that in some instances they transfer the suffering that they received onto another group or society that is experiencing a deficit in power or affluence.
During my travels I’ve seen the French dish it out to everyone; Thais doing it Laotians and Cambodians; Filipinos doing it to Chinese; Zulu South Africans doing it to Zimbabweans, Mixed Race Brazilians doing it Black Brazilians; and South Koreans doing it Chinese-born Koreans.
Unsavory and disgusting as it feels, I’ve seen the abused become abusers, the bullied become bullies; and the weak feeding off the weaker. Enlightenment was not the norm. The most I can do is be self-disciplined and self-aware as an individual and do unto others.
Now under the romantic notion that suffering leads to wisdom and nobility, I wonder what my experience of Cambodia will be.
And yes, Mr. Vladimir… I agree with you: “you think they'd know by now!”

And her cronies are trying really hard at stopping the rest of the world criticising them and comparing them to Nazis.

Great,
Even the venerable Vladimir is calling "rapist". Sir, it's therapist! Therapist!
Anyways, on one hand it may easier to list countries I haven't been to; however, I have no wife or kids as a result of my frenetic life and having a bastard of a father.
I haven't been to the middle east--was scheduled to about five years ago but I almost lost my foot.
Weirdest memory: Budapest before the collapse. Everything was clay colored and drab but the Danube was stunning and women were still gorgeous back then. Couldn't take pictures at will. I guess everything is so different now. As a child my cousin and I were most fluent in German. Eventually our English proficiency erased any remnant of German, Polish, or any other language.
Place I wish I settled down: Southern Brazil.
Most danger I felt was in South Africa. Sickest I got: Congo.
Again I visited many places and have lived in quite a few, but it's give and take. I have no roots, no family of my own, I'm completely ostracized socially.
Most assholes in one place: Southern California.
Just my humble opinions.

Vladster: If you are going to quote me, get it right. Although I agree with the revision. America hasn't had a good president since Theodore Roosevelt.
Also agree, Southern California=assholes. ( or known as the Peoples Democratic Paradise of North Mexico.)

I tend to agree. I think the more you suffer - the more likely you are to become a total git. It's why beautiful people are generally happy (life is nice to good looking individuals) and fat, ugly people are generally not (life is shit to fat, ugly people). We tend to reflect our experiences as we grow rather than to be shaped into perfection by being kicked in the teeth; it makes you want to hand out a good kicking to someone else for a change.Therapist wrote:Award winning British biographer Diana Souhami once said: “It’s a rather romantic idea that suffering makes people noble. I have to agree with you, even babies prefer symmetrical, classically attractive faces. Your posts are always logically sound and based in science. But still, there has to be a place where fat, ugly people can get a fair shake?
I will be ostracized in Cambodia too? Any advice for us fatties and uglies?
Also, Vlad taught me the term "carpetbagger" and I suspect that I may be one, although I am not absolutely sure. So being fat, ugly and a carpetbagger counts as three felony strikes?
