Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they’re taking a “step back” from the royal family

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Clearly, it can happen to anyone. No man is immune.

One hell of a post... Somewhat stunning.

However Mark Antony did lose Rome when he fled after Cleopatra in the Sea Battle of Actium.

Before that he was renown for drinking horse piss to save his men from dehydration in one of his campaigns.

The parallels are there.

glad we cleared that up. its nice to know if i steal something today it will legally be mine in a few centuries. There is no differnce between the royal family stealing from the people and Americnas stealing land from the indians and Australins stealing land from the aborigines and spanish stealin land from amazonians. it does not magically become acceptable just because the violence happened a few hundred years ago

So nice for you to omit your small island from that equation. It was you brits that murdered the fkn Indians and stole their land, along with the Aboriginals in Australia, we fought a war and took the land you stole, then bought a good chunk from the French, then one way or another assimilated the land from the Spanish(funfact: Texas was it's own country for a brief moment). So convenient to blame Merica for everything :?

Anyways no one in America gives two shits about your inbred royals, except non-working house moms and cnn who screamed to the top of their lungs about a black woman marrying into the royal family :?

And the French stole the Original Brits land back in 1066 and before that we had the Angles, Jutes, Vikings, Danes, Vandals, Romans all wanting a piece of the action.

Actually the history of the UK is interwoven with Kings and Queens and their history is remembered and preserved.

There is a certain stability about that.

I doubt anyone will remember MY name in so much as 6 months

Brits are still a major power and certainly the greatest ally of the US in this world.

No offence Mish :beer3: I wouldn't even brought it up as it's the way of the world, I'd rather be posting in the hot Asian thread, just have a problem with dense Euros that seemed to conveniently forget their part in history and the new world.

For Pliny the Elder, Cleopatra was no more than a “harlot queen (regina meretrix)” (Nat. Hist. 9.58.1), implying she owed her position of wealth and power because she prostituted herself to Mark Antony (83-30 BC) with her wanton physique.

I would - wouldn't you... :beer3:

I wouldn’t personally put on a uniform, gear and fight for you, either. Soldiers encourage nutters to kill civilians? I’m sure British soldiers past and present would be so happy that you support them so strongly.

In the future I will try my best to refrain from any further rational discussions. Apparently there is a multi-planetary chasm of differences in ideas.
I would not want you to put on a uniform to go kill afghans to defend me thanks, and i really do not care what british troops past or present think of me, it cannot be any less than I think of them. You are either a royalist or you are a republican. you either beieve that soldiers killing people in foreign lands is adefensive or agressive so I agree It is like republicans and democrats, bresxiters and remainers, palestininas and israelis. Opinions are fixed and no amount of rational discussion will change them
