Probable nuclear accident in Russia or Kazakhstan

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Probable nuclear accident in Russia or Kazakhstan

Nuclear accident in Russia or Kazakhstan sends 'harmless' radioactive cloud over Europe
10 November 2017
A cloud of radioactive pollution over Europe in recent weeks indicates that an accident has happened in a nuclear facility in Russia or Kazakhstan in the last week of September, French nuclear safety institute IRSN has said.

The IRSN on Thursday ruled out an accident in a nuclear reactor, saying it was likely to be in a nuclear fuel treatment site or centre for radioactive medicine. There has been no impact on human health or the environment in Europe, the IRSN said.

IRSN, the technical arm of French nuclear regulator ASN, said in a statement it could not pinpoint the location of the release of radioactive material but that based on weather patterns, the most plausible zone lay south of the Ural mountains, between the Urals and the Volga river.

This could indicate Russia or possibly Kazakhstan, an IRSN official said.

“Russian authorities have said they are not aware of an accident on their territory,” IRSN director Jean-Marc Peres told Reuters. He added that the institute had not yet been in contact with Kazakh authorities...

Confirmed. High level radiation came from Russia:

21 November 2017
Russia’s admission over nuclear cloud
– An incident last month at the Russian site of a cold war nuclear disaster is suspected to be the source of “extremely high” concentrations of radioactive material that spread into the atmosphere over Europe.
On 9 November, the Institute for Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) in Paris said ruthenium-106 coming from Russia’s direction had been detected in France although the levels were not dangerous.
After initial denials from Russia, its meteorological service has confirmed that Ru-106 radiation at 986 times normal levels was detected in Argayash – about 19 miles (30km) from the Mayak nuclear facility in the southern Ural mountains.
A storage tank exploded at Mayak in 1957, spraying out deadly contamination in the world’s third-worst nuclear accident. Greenpeace Russia has called on Rosatom to open “an in-depth inquiry and publish the results about the incidents at Mayak”.

what you gotta buy your own personal radiation detectors for your living environment? are we being held to ransom?

So, miguelito, what would you do if your detector went off the scale? Leave? To where?

Typical thinking of a woman,, go East or go West. Here I am thinking why the fallout did not go North or South.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
