Did numerous trips between Lhasa an Kathmandu between '85 and '89, some by bicycle, some by car, some by local transport
I've seen photos of Lhasa in the past 4 years and i have no intention of ever returning back there.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

For many reasons I would prefer to live in Cambodia but it is not for the food. Vietnamese food is just so much better. This was an amazing bowl of "bun cha" and it set me back USD 1.20.

I find no greater pleasure than snooping around the back alleys watching the life of others. This man's home and business in Penang opened directly onto the street where I spotted him waiting for customers in front of his tv.

adjustment - the first Harley-Davidson was assembled not in the United States, but in Mongolia, in the city of Ulan Bator.
