Meanwhile in India:

ICMR's National Task Force Removes Usage Of Ivermectin & HCQ Drugs From COVID Guidelines

Last Updated: 24th September, 2021 11:39 IST

Earlier in May, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Directorate General of Health Services had issued guidelines against the use of Ivermectin.

In a recent development, the COVID-19 National Task Force has dropped Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) drugs from its revised "clinical guidelines for management of adult COVID-19 patients". The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) had earlier mentioned the two drugs as part of the COVID relief guidelines. Both the drugs have now been dropped after they failed any promising result in the process.

The ICMR has now confirmed the dropping of Ivermectin and HCQ as potential drugs for COVID-19. The drugs were dopped after the research body couldn’t find any evidence of Ivermectin or HCQ being therapeutic against the virus. Earlier, a clinical guidance note dated May 19, 2021, made jointly by AIIMS, ICMR NTF and Joint Monitoring Group was put to review on August 20 over the same. The guidance note was studied in the context of newly found evidence of the medicine’s effects.

Wait they think they know better than Twitter memes and Facebook graphics? How can that be? Perhaps they do understand the difference between correlation and causation.

I don't know why you keep having a go at me. I posted the article about Correlation and Causation in the first place. Armchairlawyer fucked up his quote tags. Corrected here:

A misleading phrase. Yes, it's not precisely the same as causation and coincidences do happen. But most of the time, they are the same.
Data show people with a bacterial infection who take antibiotics tend to get better. Are you going to say correlation is not causation?
Is Ivermectin working or not in this graphic? Or only when it suits Ivermectin pushers?

Memes are great, and handier than actual research. You obviously haven't read the article our friend posted on correlation so I'll just pass on further comment. Ice cream and drownings.

No worries. As for the Zimbabwe graphic, I posted that to demonstrate how incredibly inconsistent the supposed Ivermectin "results" are in African countries. Definitely other factors at play there.

Hey @timmydownawell , stop being an Ivermectin denier. I took some yesterday with Albendazole and I have not got Covid-19*.

So there! 100% protection. 100% proof. I'm working on a graph right now to post in Twitter.

Tragic milestone as Covid-19 deaths eclipse 700,000 in U.S.

Post by Clutch Cargo »

That's surpassed the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic 675,000, 1861-1865 American Civil War 620,000 and WW2 405,000.

By The Associated Press

It’s a milestone that by all accounts didn’t have to happen this soon.

The U.S. death toll from Covid-19 eclipsed 700,000 late Friday — a number greater than the population of Boston. The last 100,000 deaths occurred during a time when vaccines — which overwhelmingly prevent deaths, hospitalizations and serious illness — were available to any American over the age of 12.

"As our nation mourns the painful milestone of 700,000 American deaths due to Covid-19, we must not become numb to the sorrow," President Joe Biden said in a statement Saturday. "On this day, and every day, we remember all those we have lost to this pandemic and we pray for their loved ones left behind who are missing a piece of their soul."

The milestone is also deeply frustrating to doctors, public health officials and the American public, who watched a pandemic that had been easing earlier in the summer take a dark turn. Tens of millions of Americans have refused to get vaccinated, allowing the highly contagious delta variant to tear through the country and send the death toll from 600,000 to 700,000 in 3 1/2 months.

"The astonishing death toll is yet another reminder of just how important it is to get vaccinated. The vaccines are safe, free, and easy — and we have made extraordinary progress in our fight against Covid-19 over the last eight months because of the vaccines," Biden said. "More than three-quarters of all Americans age 12 and up have now received at least one vaccine dose — including nearly 94 percent of all seniors. Hundreds of thousands of families have been spared the unbearable loss that too many Americans have already endured during this pandemic." "If you haven’t already, please get vaccinated. It can save your life and the lives of those you love," he added.

Dr. David Dowdy, an infectious disease epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health who has analyzed publicly reported state data, said it’s safe to say at least 70,000 of the last 100,000 deaths were in unvaccinated people. And of those vaccinated people who died with breakthrough infections, most caught the virus from an unvaccinated person, he said. “If we had been more effective in our vaccination, then I think it’s fair to say, we could have prevented 90 percent of those deaths,” since mid-June, Dowdy said. “It’s not just a number on a screen,” Dowdy said. “It’s tens of thousands of these tragic stories of people whose families have lost someone who means the world to them.”

Almost 65 percent of Americans have had at least one dose of vaccine, while about 56 percent are fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But millions are either refusing or still on the fence because of fear, misinformation and political beliefs. Health care workers report being threatened by patients and community members who don’t believe Covid-19 is real.

Believe we've had almost 45 million confirmed cases of Covid. With most "experts" believing the real number is likely 50-100% higher (45 million is confirmed via testing results).

And unfortunately, it appears it may not go away in our lifetime.

Another Covid thread?

It sure doesn't feel like WW2, and more people saw friends get drafted to Vietnam than die "of Covid".

Does Big Media really need any more help scaring us into submission?
All for a disease with 99% survival.

Sweden & Denmark seem to be doing quite well in their approach to Covid compared to shocking behavior in Australia.
In Vietnam expats struggle to find food in the name of Covid Safety.

China has zero transparency, so let's rag on The Divided States.

Nope, nothing suspicious anywhere. Move along.
