Social distancing is fake news:
It is common knowledge that when we cough or sneeze, we should cover our mouth and nose with a tissue to prevent germs from becoming airborne. Now, new research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology suggests this instruction is more important than ever; they found that droplets from coughs or sneezes can travel up to 200 times farther than previously thought.

Self isolation is fake, too. Bet you tons of people break the rules. Quarantine and social movement is key.

Still gonna be over soon.

I don't know where you've been living for the last 2 months but to hold Thailand up as some sort of model of enforcement is laughable.

90% of CV-positive deceased in Italy over 70 YO

Post by ExPenhMan »

I didn't know where to put this so up to the Admin or Mods to do as you wish.

A Swiss doctor has analyzed the coronavirus infection and fatality data that have come out of northern Italy. Updated to March 25.
According to the latest data of the Italian National Health Institute ISS, the average age of the positively-tested deceased in Italy is currently about 81 years. 10% of the deceased are over 90 years old. 90% of the deceased are over 70 years old.

80% of the deceased had suffered from two or more chronic diseases. 50% of the deceased had suffered from three or more chronic diseases. The chronic diseases include in particular cardiovascular problems, diabetes, respiratory problems and cancer.

Less than 1% of the deceased were healthy persons, i.e. persons without pre-existing chronic diseases. Only about 30% of the deceased are women.
Interestingly, re the death of the soccer coach.
The younger test-positive deceased almost always had severe pre-existing conditions. For example, a 21-year-old Spanish soccer coach had died test-positive, making international headlines. However, the doctors diagnosed an unrecognized leukemia, whose typical complications include severe pneumonia.

Weird but the doctor is not identified.

Tokyo has announced the biggest single rise in cases (47), since yesterday (41). 40% of the cases (total 265) coming in the last 3 days

Just after the Olympics is suspended, coincidence?
