Too bad it's just about wealth there, on the other side of the balance are the debts.....
nope..

National net wealth, also known as national net worth, is the total sum of the value of a nation's assets minus its liabilities. It refers to the total value of net wealth possessed by the citizens of a nation at a set point in time.[1] This figure is an important indicator of a nation's ability to take on debt and sustain spending

well that may be very interesting to see how the Falkland Islands will "perform" in terms of spreading the virus. After all they "start" with a lot of knowledge from other countries and should do better. Hope you can follow up on this.

The trouble is if the top 1% have 500 million each the figures look good while the bottom 30% die of malnutrition or hypothermia because they cannot affor to "heat and eat". And of course the rich always manage to dodge paying taxes through lopholes left by corrupt governemnts

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

so there is only a few people we need to milk and general acceptance will be high in such an extraordinary situation. Some of them may freely "donate" some other may be forced/expropropriated in those exeptional circumstances (in what way need to find out). Put that money (together with state funds) into a global fund managed by an independant body (which one, maybe a DEDICATED new one?) could be a solution for SOME (but sure not all) problems we may face globally. If the rich would donate only 10% of their wealth (which has shrunk a lot in recent days we have to remember) the fund would be HUGE and probably cover the economic costs of Corona. Very easy to write, probably a lot harder to accomplish.
