The six included prominent young campaigner Nathan Law, 27, who recently relocated to Britain after fleeing Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong police officially ordered the arrests of six trouble-makers who have fled overseas,” CCTV state television said.
Law called the charges “trumped-up” and said his only “crime” is that he “loves Hong Kong too much”.

Didn’t this all start because that HKer killed his girlfriend in Taiwan?
HK also tried to implement a new law in 2003 and there were riots so they bottled it.

The implication is clear.
HK is now merely another region of mainland China, same as Beijing, Shanghai, or Tibet. All under the rule of the glorious CCP, the embodiment of all Chinese people.
Expect Taiwan to be next, maybe another region like Singapore, sometime in the future.

Believe it or not, that's why all the signs there are in Chinese.
It's funny to see Taiwan defended as a bastion of freedom and democracy now considering its history. Generalissimo Kaishek fled there when he lost the civil war on the mainland in 1949. Then he put the island under martial law for almost 40 years. No elections, no opposition, no free speech, no problem.That is also incidentally when all the western powers supported it most.
Taiwan didn't have a Taiwanese born president until 1988. Before that they were all from mainland China. Taiwan didn't have a popular election to choose the president until 1996.
Nixon was shaking hands with Mao in 1972, and ten years later the western powers and China were voting to give Cambodia's seat in the UN to Pol Pot. True freedom fighters concerned about human rights.
Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, the western powers don't pick and chose who they support based on "freedom and democracy"? Maybe, just maybe, something else is at play here. I know it's hard to fathom that our enlightened rulers are concerned with anything other than the well being of the people. But on second thought, that could possibly be why Nixon was okay with China under Mao and Chile under Pinochet. Or why the same laws and worse that are condemned in China are totally okay, fine, and not even mentioned when enforced in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, etc., etc., for the last 50-60 years.
Nah, couldn't be.
