Malaysia 1MDB Scandal

Post by CJM555 »

This 1MDB matter doesn't seem to be going away any time soon and it is reported there are now multiple investigations going on in various jurisdictions including the US.
The amount of monies being discussed are unreal, some noting as much as USD $4 billion either apparently misplaced or misappropriated.
It is admitted a Saudi based donation of approx USD $700 million was accepted but apparently returned.

This is a link to The Sarawek Report which claims accurate copies of email correspondence and other related information circa 2009-11, describing in one deal an apparent overpayment of USD $700 million.

There is another issue being reported about, Red Granite Pictures was established circa 2010, co-founder Riza Aziz, the Malaysian Prime Minister’s stepson.
Red Granite Pictures were the financiers and producers of the widely acclaimed, financially successful movie 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.

IMHO i think najib is definitely guilty, all the evidences are there, now more and more international agencies are starting their investigation, if they dont have any evidence they will not start proceeding against a current government of a country

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/uk-weighs-mala ... on-1542919

from early on najib has already started to shows signs of guilt by removing the attorney general and his deputy prime minister? that is just plain suspicious, now even within UMNO has shown signs of crack. i suggest he better start finding countries that didnt sign extradition treaties with malaysia or try to bury as much evidence as possible and prolong the investigation or trial as long as possible until he is old and weak and ask for plea bargain on medical grounds.

i am just waiting for another bersih protest to break out once investigation dig out more dirt.

He'll use anti-terror laws against it. Anyway, the mainstream Western media is ignorant as ever but in alternate media Malaysia is now described as the SE Asian country closest to a civil war; by far the most suspected ISIS cells, a corrupt government that is abusing its power to stay in power and a young population who have little political say. If I were a betting man, I'd guess it will be the next Asian country to see mass civil disturbance or even war.
