NZ - life back to normal

NZ - life back to normal

Post by lagrange »

Watching the 2nd test match, NZ / West Indies, at Wellington, live streaming on my laptop. Two things are impressive: Kyle Jamieson, NZ fast bowler, over 2 metres tall, firing cricket balls at the batsmen at around 150 kmh - now that is intimidating. Secondly, the Basin Reserve ground is packed, no masks or social distancing required - almost as if Covid 19 never existed. Now that is an achievement. Life in NZ is back to normal (but without tourists, which may be a problem for some, but most people don't even seem to notice or care).

Well almost back to normal. Didn't Ardern mandate masks on public transport throughout the country and on board domestic flights a few weeks back?
