Kicking off in America
Re: Kicking off in America
We live in a society where it is almost always somebody else's fault & in this case it may be true!
There had been multiple complaints about this particular officer & there seems to be no protocol in the duty of care that one would expect from a paid representative of law & order. It would seem as if there was no formal training at all!!!

So did I. That was my point. They would have known that they were dealing with an ex-felon by checking his driver's license or licence plate. Other questions such as current address and employment status would have been asked at the time of arrest. Passing a fake $20 is a serious offense that can get you 20 years in a federal prison.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 1:46 pmReally? You never heard of ID checks?
That comment that proves you're ignorant about arrest procedure. The cop would have also known he was a bouncer at a local dance club.

Re: Kicking off in America
i was watching tv the other night, some news channel an the interviewer was interviewing a black lawyer whose father was killed as a result of police violence
He told the interviewer that whenever he goes out in his car at night he places his drivers license, insurance and registration on the dash so he can never be worried when he "reaches" for them if he is stopped.
Something NO white person would consider doing.
The police and people, need to change how they see a black person and that will not be accomplished by black people protesting or making new laws. IT has to be worked on by white people. 60 years since the civil rights protests, movement and nothing has changed
That video was shocking, that kid was most likely scared out of his mind......Police always assume a black person will be trouble
Police need to be trained more, more police academies, more psychological exams before anyone is giving a gun and than sent out to protect the public.

Re: Kicking off in America

Checking his license plate LOL i dont see how he had time to answer any questions at all or show his id before he died, we must be watching different videos.rexwell wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 2:04 pmSo did I. Nobody knew who is was until AFTER he was murdered.
where in the below police statement do you read that they got his id, identified him and checked his record, found he was an excon and THAN arrested him?
get real guys!!! What world are you 2 living on?
https://hollywoodlife.com/feature/who-i ... e-4078027/They did NOT know who he was when he was restrained and handcuffed!!!
....The four officers — who were responding to an unidentified “suspect”
. In the full police statement, the “suspect” was never confirmed to be George. “Officers were advised that the suspect was sitting on top of a blue car and appeared to be under the influence. Two officers arrived and located the suspect, a male believed to be in his 40s, in his car. He was ordered to step from his car. After he got out, he physically resisted officers. Officers were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and noted he appeared to be suffering medical distress. Officers called for an ambulance,” read the police statement provided by CBS News.
I have seen NO mention anywhere of his being a criminal or serving time, if you have please post it with a link as i find NOTHING on duckduckgo stating this
When ur arrested, detained, they handcuff you and usually place you in the back of the police car, They seldom run a check on you BEFORE they arrest you except in a traffic stop . The only check ur id at traffic stops were they ask for ur license.
The cop "might" have known George as they BOTH worked at the same club according the the owner who they interviewed on CNN and she claims she had had trouble with the cop before being overzealous before
Sorry for my outburst but some of you guys just stating BS and not checking facts just gets me
I'm off the beach to break the law again...

Re: Kicking off in America
When combatting race prejudice, more care needs to be taken to not turn the tables of oppression. This discrimination against light skinned men is something that a very significant and sizeable faction of Western societies are actually doing and succeeding at in very harmful ways.
These days race is often becoming ambiguous in younger generations. That is to say it's not neatly categorized into clear racial groups. There are spectrums, with a lot of people that don't fit clearly into any one category. These debates are antiquated in that they take none of that into account. We need new models.

It was reported yesterday, not sure if accurate or not, that the cop who pinned the guys neck and the dead guy both worked at the same club as security for 20 months.

Re: Kicking off in America
A lot has changed. Since the 60s, blacks have become more homicidal and whites have become more suicidal.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 2:38 pm IT has to be worked on by white people. 60 years since the civil rights protests, movement and nothing has changed
Black males commit 50% of the murders.
White males commit 70% of the suicides.
The US is not a healthy society.

No you probably won't find it on hollywoodlife.com. Let me help you. It's available on many news sites including https://www.republicworld.com/sports-ne ... trage.html
According to reports, Floyd, who worked as a security guard in Minneapolis, was charged in 2007 with armed robbery in a home invasion in Houston. In 2009, he was sentenced to five years in prison. In 2014, after being released from prison, he moved to Minneapolis in search of job opportunities.
Some other site claimed he held a gun to a woman's stomach while searching her house for drugs and cash. He also has cocaine possession charges. He was a real prince.
Swimming? You're not breaking the law are you? That can lead to arrest.

Why have they written "according to reports" ? is that information difficult to confirm ?rexwell wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 3:37 pm I have seen NO mention anywhere of his being a criminal or serving time, if you have please post it with a link as i find NOTHING on duckduckgo stating this.
