"There's going to be 2 groups in this race thing that's just starting.

It's not black people and white people, or white people and other people. It's not people who support black people and people who support white people, or even racists and non racists.

It's this. It's going to be people the media and extremists on both 'sides' can not split apart and who remain together, and people the media and extremists can split apart and who fight. And the biggest group will win, or lose as the case may be.

I don't know what's going to happen in the US, but for the UK my suggestion for collaborative working would be for the one 'side' to leave the other side's history lessons alone, and for the other to listen to problems and try to work out solutions together.

But guys, everyone, don't drag up the history stuff. For one thing it might not tell you what you think it will, and for another people get kinda precious about it.

I had another idea as well (which is a CEO exclusive), which is the thought that for the last 10-20 years or so we've all been happy going along being respectful to each other not calling each other names etc. But now all of a sudden "white privilege" is on the table along with various versions of history, and stuff is going to start coming out again.

My way to address this would be to repeal all the laws that say you can't call each other names and just let everyone let off steam for 12 months and call each other whatever the hell we want. I think everyone might quite enjoy it, and then we can go back to being nice to each other again like it was all just a dream we had about having a good time and a few laughs with each other.

What I said isn't 100% accurate tbf. There's a story on yahoo about the ex students and teachers of some girls school demanding the governors introduce white privilege on their curriculum. There's also a petition circulating for black history and colonial history to be taught in English schools (not in a way which is going to make Britain come out smelling of roses). Can't be assed to find the links, sorry. That is the way it's going though.
