Java wanderings.

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Forget it in Yogyakarta. Two streets have been designated "tourist zones" where you can get a beer, but other than that the city is dry. And no, no girly bars....

Java has Borobudur, one of the three magnificent temple cities, including Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Bagan in Myanmar. There are only 3, and Java is a great island for various reasons. Worth the boat ride.

To miss it would be like passing on Macchu Pichu or Giza.

Great monuments of society, when there was a great movement of organized society over decades and centuries.

Before the rise of man over gods.
Melvin Udall: Never, never, interrupt me, okay?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

well not in your posts obviously! But there have been threads about comedians and Dj's and authors and restaurants recently. Not everyone is a cheap Charlie social misfit alcoholic unable to get laid at home and forced to pay a poor Asian girl to sort them out
