Japan startup aims to put 'Miracle Meat' on American dinner plates

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

What are you on about? The company hasn't even started operating in the US. 8)
There are others. Beyond Meat I think is one.
I tried some of the alternatives on my grill a couple of years ago.
It didn't workout as well as I had hoped.
Sure, but only a tiny amount of people eat those. Besides anything all those vegan foods are ridiculously expensive and can only be found in very specific places. I've only been to the US briefly a couple of times, and only in NYC. Anyway they had fantastic food there. Nearly all my American friends are very keen on good food. Like anywhere (Europe, Australia etc) there are people who eat well and people who eat junk and others, like myself, who don't really care and eat both.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

So it's basically natto, I've ate it for years after having some stomach problems and living with a Japanese chick, it's got as much protein as a 5 oz steak and lays on the stomach nicely especially getting out on the boat a little hungover. Tough sale for westerners though, it's pretty slimy and has a unique smell, an acquired taste I've come to love it, I like it with rice and avocado.

That being said I'm eating a real fucking burger or steak, never got this pre-made burger garbage :bad:

Those grills aren't getting fired up for the health or environmentally conscious types during this Memorial Day weekend. I suspect this substitute will be positioned as a left wing anti-meat conspiracy. I can't wait for the headlines and idiocy that follows.
So what? We're all suppose to grill burgers with no meat filled with chemicals? Might as well go to McDonalds :head shot:

Veggies goes on my grill beside the meat -

Can't stand natto. The texture is repulsive to me. Had to endure it when I ate lunch with elementary school kids.

Make this out of kale and soya and leftover muesli dust, you lefty bearded tree huggers.

I challenge you!
