The outer bands of the storm are onshore now- the core is on the gulf stream pretty much stalled in terms of forward motion. the media is hyping the shit out of it, but only cat 2 for now. night here now, when intensification often happens - may be a squib though. lots od words like "historic" being used. pretty nice doughnut storm at time of writing- so able to grow. climax is tonight. about 1.5 times the size of Cambodia.

an odd account from a journalist on the site of landfall on the side where the wind is blowing offshore is a kind of reverse storm surge where the ocean is being blown offshore from bays and estuaries resulting in a much lower sea level than normal.

fear fatigue, media hyped the shit out of every storm n claim tat bigger storms now r caused by climate change n by the time when it hits, it fizzle out, making every one to start doubting the evacuation orders n also climate change, this is not helping at all

dropping a lot of rain like where you live. a bit more.
immediately went to cat 1 onshore but still some wind.
killed a few so far.
