Hostages in Sydney, Australia Being Held by TERRORISTS

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

If I ever get taken hostage, please let it be a bar or a brothel

This is Z, and if you don't accede to our demands, vlad isn't getting the Lagavulen or the hot one!

We'll make him drink Zorok and short-time the Mamasan!

Shrieks of horror!

You inhuman bastards, we accept, but under protest.

There's always that one ringer in every bar who might take advantage of the situation. You know the one, 6 foot tall, deep voice and prominent adams apple. :D
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.

In all fairness I doubt he's a terrorists. One likely just someone that snapped after being asked 10 fucking dollars for a Caffé Latte

I assume none of the hostages have guns?

Surely that could have been helpful in this situation.

[Please don't let the gunman be American.]

A chocolate shop, I would have taken hostages at Dan Murphy's! It's certainly the best media event for nearly a week. The cricket starts again on Wednesday in Brisbane but the weather forecast is terrible.
Looks like a lone nutter, lots of jokes here about the siege.lots of people taking selfies at the barricades, all very festive. But dangerous, where are the SAS? Sitting around in Iraq?

Nutter identified
Police have authorised the naming of Sheik Man Haron Monis, 49, who is a self-styled preacher of Islamic State on bail for accessory to murder, as the gunman who is holding 15 terrified hostages in Sydney’s Lindt cafe.

Monis was also charged this year with indecent and sexual assault of women in 2002. Monis was hit with an additional 40 charges in October.

He has a sawn-off shotgun and is understood to be a fringe Islamist, The Australian and Sky News reports.

Shit seems to be hitting the fan now. Are the police making their move? Loud bangs reported. More hostages escaping.
