Hong Kong Watch

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

The torched man is in hospital with 20% burns.

The shot student is in hospital - they have removed the bullet, but he is still critical with liver damage.

Currently, the center of action is the Chinese University of Hong Kong with the police trying to storm it with tear gas and bean bag rounds yet being successfully repelled.

Don't forget the stabbing of pro-Beijing politician Junius Ho last week either, which came shortly after the stabbing (and biting off of the ear) of pro-democracy lawmaker Andrew Chiu. Warning, graphic footage.

A Hong Kong Lawyer, Audrey Eu Yuet-mee, says don't rely on the courts to come to the rescue. Worth 5 mins of your time...

Audrey Eu Yuet-mee, a barrister, is a former member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council and a founder of the Civic Party.

It's just getting worse. Now they are using pepper spray laced with blue dye via water canon. No doubt to put a marker on protesters who wear masks to defeat the surveillance cameras. Live rounds are being threatened. PRC soldiers are being drafted in to clear road blocks. How long before the get dressed up in riot gear and join in?

This time the police stormed a university campus and turned it into a war zone.

Ccurrent situation at the university strangely reminiscent of Thammasat University in '76.
Hope it doesn't turn out the same

The Chinese have put their PLA troops on the street,(now ONLY to clean up ) but it sends a message.
