Holiday in Syria? It's safe as houses, says US Embassy
This official US Embassy in Damascus website has today's date. Sounds so good I might have to go there. What could go wrong? It must be safe in Syria since the news is full of stories of teenage girls leaving their families to travel there.

They should probably just take the site down since there hasn't been a US Embassy in Damascus since February 2012 The Department of State is up to date at least: http://www.travel.state.gov/content/pas ... syria.html
