Election Fraud claims in Myanmar and the US

Post by emm »

The new way of how to turn election results upside down seems to be to call the Result :"ELECTION FRAUD"

The Myanmar Army claims there was "Election Fraud" which was immediately dismissed by Aung San Suu Kyi's NLD and most western Countries. The coup wasn't at least in my eyes that different what Trump had groomed for years. The claim of "Election Fraud". So perhaps he had just laid the path for the Burmese Army ?

Here is what the current analysis of the US Election showed:
The New York Times
Key Takeaways From Trump's Effort to Overturn the Election

For 77 days between the election and the inauguration, President Donald Trump attempted to subvert American democracy with a lie about election fraud that he had been grooming for years.

A New York Times examination of the events that unfolded after the election shows how the president — enabled by Republican leaders, advised by conspiracy-minded lawyers and bankrolled by a new class of Trump-era donors — waged an extralegal campaign that convinced tens of millions of Americans the election had been stolen and made the deadly Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol almost inevitable.
The story continues.

blaming president for refusing to convene National Defence & Security Council meeting & election commission failed to be fully transparent & not address allegations of electoral irregularities

Under current State of Emergency in Myanmar under military coup. A curfew will now be imposed from 8pm local time to 6am across the country.

why doess the above video automatically start when i am on this page, fucking irritating to see it playing 3 times

From Biden
The military’s seizure of power in Burma, the detention of Aung San Suu Kyi and other civilian officials, and the declaration of a national state of emergency are a direct assault on the country’s transition to democracy and the rule of law. In a democracy, force should never seek to overrule the will of the people or attempt to erase the outcome of a credible election. For almost a decade, the people of Burma have been steadily working to establish elections, civilian governance, and the peaceful transfer of power. That progress should be respected.

The international community should come together in one voice to press the Burmese military to immediately relinquish the power they have seized, release the activists and officials they have detained, lift all telecommunications restrictions, and refrain from violence against civilians. The United States is taking note of those who stand with the people of Burma in this difficult hour. We will work with our partners throughout the region and the world to support the restoration of democracy and the rule of law, as well as to hold accountable those responsible for overturning Burma’s democratic transition.

The United States removed sanctions on Burma over the past decade based on progress toward democracy. The reversal of that progress will necessitate an immediate review of our sanction laws and authorities, followed by appropriate action.

The United States will stand up for democracy wherever it is under attack.

Biden's Message for Myanmar and the reality back home
Nice Message from Biden:
In a democracy, force should never seek to overrule the will of the people or attempt to erase the outcome of a credible election.
Perhaps he is thinking about the recent election at home, too. No sanctions or UN Intervention made there !
The reality in Myanmar is that even the military and all those wealthy people got so used to comfort and development supported by the investment and protection from it's northern neighbor that they just can't let go of the Nuveau Capitalism that is also ruling Communist Vietnam now. So all these threats from the worlds most powerfull nation are worth a fiddlers fart.

Any chance you could keep your Anti-American bias off this thread. Cheers.
