Hamas Terrorists Attack Festival in Israel and Target Civilians elsewhere in the Country

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

ICJ Rulings

1. 15-2 The state of Israel shall take all measures to prevent the commission of genocide to Gaza
2. 15-2 The state of Israel shall ensure that the military not commit any acts of genocide
3. 16-1 Israel shall take all measures to punish all public solicitations to genocide
4. 16-1 Israel shall take immediate and effective measures to address adverse conditions to life in the Gaza Strip
5. 15-2 Israel shall take effective measures to preserve evidence of actions impacting the Genocide convention
6. 15-2 Israel shall submit to the court a report all measures taken to follow the orders of this court within one month
But the court’s ruling also contains a hidden ambition: it challenges all states—and especially the United States—to take international law seriously at a time of increasing violence and conflict and decreasing respect for the authority of international legal institutions. Indeed, at a time when the Biden administration’s efforts to limit the war’s harm to civilians seem to be flailing, the court threw it a lifeline, a path to a new policy toward the conflict that is rooted in international norms. The White House should embrace the court’s ruling, deploying it as a new diplomatic tool to end Israel’s military operation and force Hamas to release the hostages it still cruelly and unconscionably holds in Gaza.

Alternatively, Hamas could surrender and lay down its arms. They could release the women and children civilian hostages they are using as human shields. The bombings would end. no need for the ICJ. But they don't want that. They want a forever war. They want instability in the region forever. They want to be the forever victims. Israel aren't stopping until the hostages come home. I do not blame them.

Their best hope for peace is to be part of Israel and get a seat at the table to change things for the better.
I think that horse has already bolted.

That's not where Montana is, Vasco de Gama.
And who would be giving "them" this part of Kansas?
The Philistines?
The Aegean Sea Peoples who "settled" in the Levant?

Who is the real troll? Your hard on for this issue is personal, obviously. As you've demonstrated, nasty, garbled, barely coherent trolling is kind of your thing.

Wow!

Great map. Must have been created by a die hard Hamas supporter.

There is a huge anti-semitism streak in the US. Hitler’s ideas were popular with the public before FDR ordered supporters arrested and their ideas suppressed. The Holocaust and the deaths camps swayed public opinion after the war. No where in the world wants the Jews more than Israel.

The Palestinians have been screwed in the past. Their Arab neighbors continued to occupy them as part of their own lands after the mandate. Gaza was taken from Egypt (as well as the Sinai Peninsula) after another war started by the Arabs. Think those countries will give back land they have ruled since the Caliphate days? History says no. Might makes right in the Middle East. Weakness is only taken advantage of.

Jerusalem and the whole of Israel is holy land to three major religions. They all want the same land. Hundreds of years of Crusades were fought to get access to this land. Plus now much of the world’s oil is in the general area.

No one can budge an inch. The best hope is the Palestinians join Israel and get a seat at the table through western political means. Just like women, just like the blacks did in the US.

They’ve largely screwed themselves, ably aided by a religion braying for peace from the nearest minaret. The adherents of the big black Rubik just got started a few centuries late. They’ll be approaching their own renaissance and enlightenment once they’ve run out of grenades. We just need to be patient and compassionate, and maybe find a mass delivery system for a shit load of Prozac.

I sure wish that were true. But history says otherwise. Centuries of Religious wars were fought in Europe before religion became secular and the nation state arose. Along with the Renaissance and the Enlightenment to transform religion. But Europe is special. What happened in Europe didn’t happen anywhere else. It could have only happened in Europe.

Religion is also the quickest way to legitimize a government beyond simple military force. Even Cambodia ties Nation Religion and King together. In contrast, Democracy is the messiest and slowest way.

And yes, the Palestinians are screwed over with no way forward except to be screwed some more.

“A joint operation by the Israeli military, the domestic Shin Bet security service and the Special Police Unit in Rafah freed Fernando Simon Marman, 60, and Louis Hare, 70, the military said. They were among 250 people seized during the Oct. 7 raid by Hamas militants that triggered Israel's war on Gaza.”

Israel is caught between a rock and a hard place.

The international community has placed a line declaring Israel should not cross.

Hamas has no problems and no repercussions crossing lines.

Only the Palestinian people suffer.
And create the next generation of Hamas soldiers.

Win win for them.

Pessimistic opinions.
