My God,another 17 dead in Florida

This is a series of 5. Things won't change unless people stand up.that genius wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 12:21 pm Let's face it, we all know the problem here:
The US govt are mostly a bunch of fawning, corrupt whores who would sell their mothers for the right price.
They suck NRA dick, MIC dick, Saudi dick, sell them arms to continue the genocide in Yemen, support the apartheid Israeli govt, but bitch about lesser infringements of human rights in SE Asia, but castigate 'terrorists' who slaughter innocents.
They sell American kids' lives to the NRA and their sponsors for lobbying contributions.
The dumb yanks who don't see this are caught up in guns/no guns debate.
It's not about guns/no guns, it's about waking up and finding decent people to govern you, people with the majority's interests at heart.
Dumbfucks.

The point is that these countries are not having their children murdered in mass-shootings

The US tops the scores, that is indisputable.
What is it this year, and we are only in February?
It was even admitted by a member of Senate:

Not sure why you want to diminish the importance of this fact.

Sweden: FOUR people injured
Norway: ONLY example you quote that remotely resembles the US is the Norway one. What is Norway's total in all history vs. The US just this year?
It's not a serious comparison, really.
As I stated before, every country has its mass shootings, but ONLY the US has so many of these horrific school/public shootings
Even their govt grudgingly admits it

Re: My God,another 17 dead in Florida
it is undeniably a USA phenomenon.
but other cuntries have higher per capita murder rates
USA does not even make it into the top 10.
I think one of the really horrifying things about these mass shootings in schools, nightclubs, cinemas etc, is that the vicitims have absolutely no connection to whatever twisted motive the shooter has.
with simple murder the crime is usually motivated by something at least comprehensible.

Re: My God,another 17 dead in Florida
Granted, but the thread is about mass shootings, specifically in schools, not murder
Otherwise we could all just laugh it off and cite Mao, Hitler and Stalin
re connection, I suppose the sick fuck makes a connection, maybe someone laughed at him at school or did something he perceived as worthy of death
I really think the mental health/conflict resolution aspect should be investigated, and a conflict resolution course be compulsory at all schools, and the media need to be held responsible for whatever role they play by films etc that promote violence of this type

And under our current President how rigorously do you feel such mental health initiatives will be meaningfully enforced?

Apart from the fact that in other countries it is usually "only" murder, you cannot really compare a developed country with the likes of Swaziland or Jamaica.frank lee bent wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:41 pm it is undeniably a USA phenomenon.

Re: My God,another 17 dead in Florida
And you just make the point for gun laws here: you have to go back to 2011 (Norway) to cite a mass shooting there; how many mass shootings have there been in the USA in the last 12 months.frank lee bent wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:52 pm The point is that these countries are not having their children murdered in mass-shootings

Sweden was a gang shooting with no dead by the way.
I think nobody argues that there re no mass shootings in other countries but in other countries such happenings usually result in tighter restrictions; in America it is the other way around....

Ah, OK, never mind, forget it then, after all it's just kids dying, let's rather not bother despite the odds.taabarang wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 3:11 pm I really think the mental health/conflict resolution aspect should be investigated, and a conflict resolution course be compulsory at all schools, and the media need to be held responsible for whatever role they play by films etc that promote violence of this type.
