We're not assigning the media the majority of blame for what happened, but perhaps you've heard of the word propaganda?

The media can be very powerful...the US govt believes it when they want to go to war, and uses it, but deny it has an effect on people when the shit hits the fan.

Kind of contradictory, and revealing... to most people.

This guy may have wanted fame...and now they're giving it to him.

It may have been the only way he thought he could get noticed.

After all, they have immortalised every other mass shooter.

USA does not even make it into the top 10.
I think one of the really horrifying things about these mass shootings in schools, nightclubs, cinemas etc, is that the vicitims have absolutely no connection to whatever twisted motive the shooter has.
with simple murder the crime is usually motivated by something at least comprehensible.

I find the figures for Pakistan in that graph somewhat unlikely.
No El Salvador or Honduras, either.
