If I lived in a country where the police are given military weapons, i.e. tanks, then I would start thinking about an exit strategy.

Dammit, Beaker. Google is NOT being very helpful for me right now...

Meaning you have heard of an armed police officer killed by an unarmed person and I don't mean an officer whose gun was taken from him because that would be an armed person against and unarmed officer.

Inconceivable to me that an officer in his running cruiser with doors locked with his sidearm and shotgun could be pulled out of the car and killed by a kid.

I am not saying or insinuating that police have an easy job by any mean but they are very very well compensated , and have many fringe benefits for their service. I have good friends/family who are retired cops by the way.

Over a recent six-week period, a handful of officers from Rhode Island to Illinois had their guns taken from them after they allegedly were overpowered by suspects or inmates. In each case, the ending was deadly.
2012:
http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press- ... ne-of-duty
Offenders used firearms in 26 of the 27 felonious deaths. These included 19 incidents with handguns, five incidents with rifles, and two incidents with shotguns. One victim officer was killed with a vehicle used as a weapon.

Nineteen of the slain officers were confirmed to be wearing body armor at the times of the incidents. Six of the officers fired their own weapons, and three officers attempted to fire their service weapons. Two victim officers had their weapons stolen; one officer was killed with his own weapon.

You haven't heard of it because when cops die unfairly it doesn't trend well in media so you're not told to care about it.

they were unarmed when they overcame the police officer and took their gun. should the officer then wait until they've had their gun taken, and THEN decide their life is at risk and they can shoot the guy? come on... this is just you reaching.

not reaching at all I stated
I have never in my 64 years heard of an armed police officer being killed by an unarmed person. NAME ONE

and you responded with the above with cops killed with guns that is not unarmed

Lets see now cop had a bullet proof vest, 2 hand guns, shot gun, pepper spray, baton, radio, and squad car
the kid had black skin and had a handful of cigars
if the cop was scared for his life in that situation do you really think he should be a cop ?

kind of sounds like the justification for the
tear gas as stated in press conference that when the shot, singular, was fired they the cops in full riot gear hit the ground and started screaming
not a good job for cowards I'm thinking
