nothing wrong with critical discussion, but logic is a tool to get past the emotion of such horrific events and arrive at the truth

I stated what i feel both sides would accept way back but will repeat it

to own a fire arm;
criminal record check
over 21
no mental disease
5 day waiting period
required to take a fire arm safety class

BUT at the end of the day, this is just controlling who Legally can own a gun...
if some one wants a gun in America, he will get, buy, steal one.

They should be working on why American kids are driven to shoot up their fellow students to make a point>
Is no one listening???!!!!!!
I agree that the 5 points above would be a great start & may be enough. The problem is that when guns are easy to get legally they are too easy to get illegally (17 but guns at home/people legally buy and then sell etc)

Also, when you don't have to specifically go out of you way to get a gun people will assume that it is normal, I am talking about doing you grocery shopping and coming home with a gun.

They should consider banning advertising on guns, making them be sold like cigarettes in other countries (under the counter, out of sight) & only selling in specialised shops out of the way of everything else.

They should of course be working on why kids feel the need to shoot up there school. However, if they could only get their hands on a knife the damage wouldn't be half as bad.

As soon as the US gets away from thinking that carrying guns is normal the better.

Is someone gonna try and defend this guy? he is a office worker for fuck's sake, two guns and an extra mag

That was way back in 1777 when they wanted us to hand over all our hard earned to the tyrannical British royal family who promised to "protect us". Meanwhile, here we are in 2018 and the British plebs are funding a massive royal wedding while their once powerful country continues its long hard decline into nothingness, all the while they're told "don't worry, the government will protect you" and they eat it up like that wretched shit they try to call food. We won't give up our rights and our republic just because you never had either.

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered as the palladium of the liberties of a republic since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers and will generally even if these are successful the first instance enable the people to resist and triumph over them." - Justice Joseph Story

We have our rights because we have the one and most important right of all, the right to bear arms. That right doesn't come from an imaginary god or a piece of paper, but from its enforcement by 90,000,000 armed American citizens.

Any and all debate on this issue with spineless liberals, neo-fascists, and purveyors of tyranny of all forms is more or less meaningless. The American people will never be disarmed. Not by their government, and certainly not by a bunch of whiny pussified Eurocucks who don't even know how to shoot a gun. So it's a moot point. You'll get our guns when you pull them from our cold dead hands.
This just shows your ignorance of your own country's history. Barely half of your country wanted independence, probably less. At the time the US had some of the lowest taxes in the empire, the Boston tea party was tea smugglers throwing cheap legal tea into the harbour. You were also traitors, trading with the Spanish and French during a period of war and you didn't like being asked not to do it. Note asked, we didn't start shooting you until your traitorous smuggler arses caused riots where you knew your fellow Americans would get shot and that was the only way you could get support to have your revolution. You know that Freetown in Sierra Leone was founded by all the black people who didn't want to be part of the USA? Significant numbers of people moved to Canada, too. Do you know that one of the other reasons you were angry at British rule is because we wouldn't agree to you crossing the Appalachians and killing the Indians and stealing their lands?

If these guys had never invented weapons we wouldn't be in the crisis that we are in now.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

why do gun US nuts spout those “mass shooting” stats whenever a mass shooting takes place?

yes we get it.the % is lower than some eu countries. great

you conveniently miss out the fact that 40 people die every day from gun crime in merica. 10% of murders in the uk are by guns.in the USA its 60% (30% in canada).

seems they have more than a few mass killings using cars and bombs...

Its just American kids that are obsessed with using guns in killing their fellow students..

The point needs to be made that other countries do have high or higher gun homicides, but ONLY America has such a high rate of gun homicides in SCHOOLS. Why people who know this continually ignore that critics are focusing on this, I have no idea. I personally support the right to own use guns, but only after strict checks, strict access laws, and I firmly believe there is no reason for anybody to have an asault rifle, bar the military.

When non-Americans start talking about gun control in the USA, just walk away and when you come back, they'll be talking about something else.
