In our town? They lose their last bit of hope. They come to town on $100,000+ contracts, discover that isn't as fulfilling as they expected it to be, and then have nothing left to live for (in their minds).

Can a 1/2" of foam stop a bullet?

If they had the death penalty for suicide, that would be an effective deterrent.

They should just ban it. That'll stop it.

I agree that the media is part of the problem but the media doesn't stop at the U.S. border so there must be more to it than that.

Obviously easy access to firearms makes it possible but that's not the reason why someone decides to do this.

Maybe i watch too much tv, but from an outsiders view of U.S. high school culture I would guess the cool kids social hierarchy has a lot to do with it, with your jocks, geeks and all those other labels which seem carry on to university and later life.

If a boy in my high school drove his dad's coupe to school, was the captain of the sports team and had Justin Beiber hair he would get the shit kicked out of him for being a pretty boy. Checks and balances.

Maybe when you don't have individuals that are idolized you also don't breed those closet psychopaths that resent them.
