Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has died of a suicide aged 61

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

It's the genius-stricken that see it coming — that slow motion train wreck of old age.

Robin Williams, Kurt Cobain, Earnest Hemingway, and now Anthony "Disdain" Bourdain.

I'm glad he no longer suffers, and left a generous video collection for us to always remember him by.

I'll have a fine meal of exotic flavors in a strange place with good people, in memoriam of Anthony.

And it's now a sign of the times for hard core entertainers to be sober, nothing wrong with that, if you want them to live on, that is.

Shocking, but true. Let them live, and have fun entertaining us.

Genius escapes the rest of us.
Kurt Cobain didn't kill himself because he was getting old, it was because he was becoming the thing he hated - mainstream. He hated the fact that he was famous.

True, CPT, I added Kurt Cobain in afterwards.

But he still projected an aging process — after the hard years suffering in his art form, he saw the homogenization of his popular music coming ... and it depressed him so ...

Kurt Cobain was only 27 when he died. There is some speculation about whether he was murdered.

This was done a while back anyway but now it’s a fitting tribute.

The table he and Obama sat and ate on in Vietnam is sealed off behind glass.

good article on Tony and more important Suicide,
https://observer.com/2018/06/anthony-bo ... ssion=true
"And there it is: the grand reveal that the biggest problem with suicide is that it is genuinely a good solution. And to get outside of it, to live with it, and to effectively take all that pain and find a way to give back and help the world is something most could never imagine.
In that sense, what Anthony Bourdain did was Herculean. It is the act of grace itself. He gave a gift to us and you truly do not realize the strength it took for him to give it. So while I beat my chest and shout to the fucking rooftops about how this horrible thing has happened, there is the part of me that…simply knows what he was facing."

Strange, but we see lots of reports on suicide here, ( why do so many travel to Cambodia to die?) and all end up speculating,"he was on drugs, he was a bad person , he was unhappy"
but NONE talk about his life, what he left behind..
Unlike the stories we read now about Tony, (or see the CNN special) where NONE mention how he died, other than he hung himself and NO PHOTOS.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

And I do palm readings for $5.

Nothing wrong with discussing suicide. It naturally requires a bit of speculation because nobody successful at it can ever comment on it.
"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."
