So what you are saying is there are just two types of people in the US? One side are communists who are hell bent on burning and destroying everything, and the other are just shy guys in jacked-up coal-rolling Ford F650s with gun racks waving Confederate flags. It seems to have changed a lot since I was there last. 8-)
Not quite that simple, but close. We only have two parties in the US, so the results are typically binary.

Reductio ad absurdum ... reducing an argument to absurdity.
I referred to the average Joe, middle ground voter... the typically undecided or swing voter who probably voted for Obama (twice) and Trump in’16. The type of voter who knows he dare not speak his mind when asked who they are voting for.
The die-hards exist on both sides and these voters don’t win elections. It is the people who simply vote for someone they think will benefit them who hold the power of who wins in a US election.

It was these people I was referring to. And it is these people that will openly say “I don’t really like the guy (Trump) but I like what he has done”
Maybe this is something you are unable to grasp? That a person could vote for someone they dislike but who they see as doing good. Even when it is Trump who got that black guy released from a life term for a non violent offence? Who went to prison on legislation Biden helped put in place .... it is Trump who is the racist.... democrat mayors and DA’s let rioters out of jail the day after they are arrested and let their cities burn... and it’s because of Trump....

The average guy in the states is smarter than you give him credit for... and by the way the polls are going the black and Hispanics are not guaranteed to vote Democrat like they used to.

Related to this;
what Trump has done ( an not done) that he said he would in 2016..

It's been four years since Donald Trump made a string of promises during his long 2016 campaign to be the 45th president of the United States. Four years later, his supporters often cite "promises made, promises kept" as a reason why they're backing him again.

Many of them made headlines - from banning all Muslims entering the US, to building a border wall paid for by Mexico.

But others went a little under the radar, like his pledge to eliminate the national debt.

So how has he done in keeping his promises?

Nice checklist in that link. Still, the main reasons I voted Trump in 2016 are where he has failed to deliver.

The right-wingers are shooting AK-47s into police stations and pretending to be part of a BLM protest.

Perhaps it is wrong to say the "right" "left" "blacks" when it is not the majority of the group behaving that way?

Former Sheriff David Clarke says it best!

It's not the police who need to be retrained, it's the public. We have grown into a mouthy, mobile phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of 'it's the other person's fault', 'you owe me'. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility.

When an officer says "Put your hands up," then put your hands up! Don't reach for something in your pocket, your lap, your seat. There's plenty of reason for a police officer to feel threatened, there have been multiple assaults and ambushes on police officers lately. Comply with requests from the officer, have your day in court. Don't mouth off, or fight, or refuse to comply... that escalates the situation.

Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They're black, white, brown, all colors, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity... the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts... day after day.

They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay.

They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person... any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever... that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & Mrs/Miss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control.

Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They've been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets.

If you want to protect your child, teach them respect.

White House aides discussing staging an intervention to tell Donald Trump he has to leave
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner being considered for an ‘intervention’ if president loses and refuses to leave White House
Harriet Alexander

Donald Trump’s aides are quietly discussing among themselves who is going to break the news to him that he has lost, according to a report, with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner being considered as likely figures to tell him.

"I had one person close to the White House tell me, 'No one is willing to tell King Lear the truth,'" said Hallie Jackson, MSNBC’s White House correspondent.

On Friday morning, with the election appearing to be heading in Joe Biden’s direction, CNN’s White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins said she too had been told that Mr Trump was unlikely to concede, and discussions were being held as to how to convince him to leave.

“I’m actually being told by sources that, in recent days, the president has said he has no plans to concede this election to Joe Biden, even if his path to victory is effectively blocked, which it could be by a Biden win in Pennsylvania or in somewhere like Georgia,” she said.

“But despite that the president has said that he has no plans to concede this election as he has continued to push this baseless claim that the election is being stolen from him.

“That creates this conversation about who is going to be the person that’s going to reckon with the president and tell him that his time in office could be coming to an end.

“That’s a conversation that I’m told the president’s allies are still having, they’re not sure who that person is going to be. They’ve talked about Jared Kushner, someone like an Ivanka Trump, but they haven’t figured out who it is to bring the president to terms with reality."

Much speculation has been had about what would happen if Mr Trump refused to leave.

The Secret Service and US Marshalls are believed to be those who would be handed the task.

“It should not be a hostage drama to try and get Trump out of the White House,” said David Axelrod, who served as Barack Obama’s senior advisor.

Andrew Bates, spokesman for the Biden campaign, said they were not worried.

"The US government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House," he said.
