Well they are starting on ecigarettes now. Apparently it is breathing in warm vapour that causes the damage.
No one ever explained to me in the 70's how pot was safer. You mixed it with tobacco and smoked it. Same shit in the lungs from the paper and the tobacco.

coffee was illegal for a time.
as it became popular, coffee house culture spawned mercantilism and stock exchanges and stimulated the thinking of the age of reason.
prior to coffee and tea they drank beer at breakfast.

perhaps increased use of cannabis may change collective political thought. i have noticed that both sides of the political spectrum use it about equally now.

using it is not a problem, using it too much is. Like any drug including alcohol there is a point beyond which you fail to function properly and become a potaholic/alcoholic/heroinaddict/crackhead or whatever. Too much pot may be why our politicians are so incable of making a rational decision, or maybe they never had any brains to start with, who knows?
The reason people drank beer for breakfast was because the water supply was unsafe and weak beer and wine was used for hundreds of years to kill the bacteria. Coffe and tea have a similar antibacterial effect apparenly and are good for you in moderation, but even too much coffee will have a negative impact on your thinking skills.
