Some Brits with a Youkay income will be - and are already - poorer in the short term
but the real issue is the future of Youkay as a nation-state not a few bob here or there

Re: BREXIT and subsequent events
Another negative result of the referendum is "celebratory racism". Some people are just bad winners. The vote for "leave Europe" has been turned into "go back to where you came from", targeting foreigners and British citizens alike. Shame. The UK needs to pull together now, not rip itself apart.

We are all foreigners here. How would you feel if the Cambodians behaved like this ?

Hmmmmmmmmmm ... it was not so long ago that the rumour went round that a Thai actress (!) had said Angkor Wat should belong to Thailand and some (not all and probably not many) of the Khmer lower orders went berserk and ran amok.
And - yes - my own income will be smaller for a while.

AM drew our attention to this:
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... ing-damage
Every Weeping Wendy and Sobbing Susan in Youkay is desperately looking for "racist" incidents so that they can be prominently featured in the venerable
Grauniad or the less venerable Indy in order that that the usual gang of posh, well-heeled but self-hating whites can whimper about how beastly members of their own
tribe are when confronted with the lovely migrants willing to work longer hours for less money.

Re: BREXIT and subsequent events
The pound is currently very weak (= 1.32 $), so any expats should not be happy about this brexit thing. It's unlikely to recover.

Exactly. I think we agree that this was not a high point for Cambodia.mammothboy2 wrote:Hmmmmmmmmmm ... it was not so long ago that the rumour went round that a Thai actress (!) had said Angkor Wat should belong to Thailand and some (not all and probably not many) of the Khmer lower orders went berserk and ran amok.
