Boeing 737 max - 2.plane down

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Oh OK. I just wandered around the forum and it seemed like mostly alcoholpats and mongerpats, just like me, here. That's why I commented that it's more likely that you are on barstools and chasing hookers. I had no idea aviators were here too. And if you say that Freightdog is a freight dog, that's good enough for me!

Funny how alcoholpats and mongerpats always think everybody is just like them.

That's fine, everybody is free to think whatever they like,
except that means they so often treat others with the same level of respect that they have for themselves.

That's a good point. Imagine my low self-esteem with a name like Art Farty. That's my real name! What kind of mom would do that to her son? Oh well, back to having a few cold beveages!

I'm curious to know what she called your sister ?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

If true, then clearly she is. Likely with very different reasoning and comprehension skills than you have thus far displayed.

I know that I have met only a very small cross section of the members here, and Know sufficiently little of any that I should judge anyone. However, some contributors here demonstrate a very different outlook on life to yours, and are far more willing to provide some valuable input.
Keyboard warriors and barstool braggarts are a fact of life, and as such are somewhat lacking in credibility.

So far, your one redeeming character flaw is that you recognise your own inadequacies. Unfortunately, it pales against the other character flaw whereby you assume everyone else is equally deficient.

But that’s your prerogative, and likely why your social circle is of a certain ‘type’.

As you were.

And how does the last few posts of useless mudslinging contribute to a deep and insightful discussion of the technical issues with the 737 Max?

BTW, I found the analysis of the various aircraft models with range vs. cost fascinating.

^^ Its called CEO.
But yes, back to topic

Big Q.
Will the tech specs outweigh public suspicions about this plane?
Airlines must be factoring in safety perceptions when choosing their fleet??
Has this caused permanent damage to Boings reputation to the degree that it will affect sales in the long term?

Personally i suspect it will lead to a drop in sales for this model in the short run, but the cynic in me says it will soon be forgotten. ??

I’m with the latter thought.
It’s a damned good workhorse, and pretty robust. That said, I miss the 757, and as with many of my colleagues still find it somewhat shortsighted to have ended it, only to extend the design of the former.
Most customers will be guided by economics. There will be some customers who will remember, but what would you do when in possession of a ticket to fly from A-B with such and such airline, who use airbus, only to find that they’ve had to lease in a spare aircraft which happens to be a Boeing? Would you be sufficiently aware of the differences to quickly identify the model?

The learned press frequently get the wrong photos out when dealing with an article about a specific aircraft type.
