Wrong country. Australia is the country that won't let people leave.
New Zealand and Australia are not the same country btw.

The graphs that show Australia's achievement in stopping second-wave Covid outbreak
A visual comparison of the country’s epidemic curve compared with other nations
Nick Evershed
Wed 28 Oct 2020 00.24 GMT
The Australian state of Victoria has achieved a remarkable reduction in Covid-19 case numbers after a lengthy period of restrictions.
To put this achievement in context – Australia has done what very few countries have achieved in effectively suppressing a second-wave outbreak from a high point of more than 700 new cases a day. Victoria has now recorded only two cases in three days and lockdown restrictions are being eased.
Here’s a visual comparison of Australia’s epidemic curve compared with a number of other countries, scaled to make comparing the shape of curves easier.
In Europe, a number of countries which all had similar figures to Australia for new cases per million people in and around August, have had significant increases in cases over the past few months:

South Australia to end Covid lockdown early as premier 'fuming' over pizza lie
Steven Marshall says state would not have gone into six-day lockdown if it had been known man had worked at Woodville Pizza Bar
Josh Taylor
Fri 20 Nov 2020 05.10 GMT
South Australia’s six-day lockdown will end three days early at midnight on Saturday after it was revealed a male who tested positive for Covid-19 had lied to contact tracers over working in a pizza bar where another case had worked.
The state’s premier, Steven Marshall, made the admission after contact tracers further investigated a male with Covid-19 who claimed to have only picked up a pizza from the Woodville Pizza Bar.
A security guard who tested positive from the Peppers medi-hotel for returned travellers had a second job at the restaurant, and because the person claimed to have just been a customer, health authorities feared a wide range of people may have been exposed to Covid-19 through casual transmission at the pizza bar.
After determining the person had in fact worked at the bar a number of times and was not simply a customer, he was deemed a close contact of the security guard who also worked there.
“To say I am fuming about the actions of this individual is an absolute understatement,” Marshall said.
“The selfish actions of this individual have put our whole state in a very difficult situation. His actions have affected businesses, individuals, family groups and is completely and utterly unacceptable.”
Marshall admitted the state would not have gone into its strict six-day lockdown if this information had been known at the time earlier this week, but said at the time it was “the absolute correct decision.”

Re: NZ, Australia - into winter with Cv-19
The Victorian example, where it rapidly escalated from 0 - 700 cases/day is quelled. No new community transmission cases for 12 days.
Now SA, where they will likely get the same result after 2-3 dozen cases total - demonstrates the beast can be tamed.
So I would be a bit of a self centred prick if i winged about the international travel restrictions, wouldn't i?
Most Aussies have suddenly realised that postponing their 10 day holiday in Bali is not the end of the world. (Kiwis never thought that)
"No wuckers, lets rediscover our own country again, and reclaim the best resorts from the invading foreign tourist herds"
Me, i learned how to suck eggs and accept that life has harsh realities a long time ago..

NSW hotspots - latest Covid-19 outbreak:

Northern Territory – Anyone who enters NT from Sydney’s Northern Beaches Council area will need to undergo 14 days of supervised quarantine.
Queensland – Anyone who enters Queensland and has been on Sydney’s northern beaches since 11 December must get tested and self-isolate for 14 days since their last visit to the region. Hopefully what happened after the camera shut off was a bit of 'offender sustained injury while resisting arrest'.
