Arizona cop fatally shoots man in wheelchair nine times in the back: video

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

I had a wheelchair-bound girlfriend, and they have it hard enough as it is; always getting pushed around and people talking behind their backs.

I know you're only pulling their legs, but wheally, take a brake.

BTW, I took my exes wheelchair after we broke up, until she gave my frisby back... Guess who came crawling back.
So when a guy shoots someone in self defense you get all bent out of shape, but when someone genuinely gets unlawfully executed it’s fucking hilarious?
I think I’ve got the measure of you now.

(Seriously, that is awful.)
About time they take a stand.

This is Seriously moronic, A spoke through his wheelchair would have stopped him.

A well paid lawyer could easily persuade the jury that he was simply trying to shoot the knife out of his hand, as so many COWBOYS have done before! :BangHead:

However, He used his badge of authority in service of a private, non-governmental goal.
In this case he will not be shielded by this doctrine.
Do you think he was aware of that nuance before he started shooting? I bet he is now...

I read somewhere (possibly the initial NY report of the Chiefs statement) that this fella was 4 years on the force. I wonder if it will now be shown that there were concerns in his training, that warning signs weren’t acted upon?

Maybe another case where hiring practices have been put aside to achieve bums in seats?

All too often, some of the best folks for the job wouldn’t touch it, and the bar is lowered to get enough positions filled.

I reckon a small but very evil number of recruits are attracted to the police force, for various obvious reasons. (please don't try to tell me otherwise. i am an eye witness to this syndrome)
It is the duty of the police services to keep a good watch for these sociopaths - not just upon recruitment, but for the tell-tale signs throughout all officers early careers.

It's a science - the signals are there from the start. not always, but usually
That is (one reason) why seemingly small transgressions by cops should not be overlooked.

(ps, after my life, everyday good cops are amongst my very very few heroes)
