It would seem a fundamental law of physics that given enough time, those damn Americans will eventually come to dominate everything.

I'm a naturalized American. Funnily enough, I moved to Southeast Asia (Thailand) almost immediately after becoming an American citizen, and have lived here ever since. If I had remained on "green card" that I had obtained earlier while working in the US, I would have lost it due to being out of country for too long. That happened to a friend of mine, while I get to vote (which I do) and deride the idiot president (which I also do). At this point, I'm not sure if I'll want to reside in the US ever again, but it's definitely nice to have that option.

It doesn't affect me even though I'm an Amercan. The only reason I even think about it is because people keep blathering on about it. In what way does it affect the world?

What are their specific reasons for seriously considering leaving? Why didn't they leave in 2016? Do they think America's situation will improve with Biden in office? How so?

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
