All Things Aviation

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

It has been nearly 66 years since the Boeing 707 prototype (the "Dash 80") first flew in 1954

Indeed............ in fact American aviation, Naval aviation in particular, would not be the same without some stellar British inventions.

The British invented the angled deck for aircraft carriers. This was an absolute game changer, as it allowed aircraft to be launched and recovered simultaneously.

The Brits also gave Naval aviation the steam catapult, which vastly increased the amount of armament aircraft could carry as well as increasing the size and weight of aircraft that could operate on board.

Thanks, you limey pricks.......now if you could only do something about your abhorrent dentition. :thumb:
